Hi All, I am using Samba4 Alpha12, and i am trying to edit the password policy (which I believe is derived from the PDC's policy), but I am trying to figure out whether Samba4 can respond to GPOs. If It cannot, how would I define the password policy for the domain? Thanks.

Need help changing user password
Hi! I am currently using Samba4 Alpha13 but I have not been able to change a users password. I curently can add a user using ldbadd and a ldif file but I would like to know the recommended way of changing a users password. It would be nice if it could be done from the adminstrator account so that you do not need to know the original password. Thanks for the help! MS

visibility of groups when multiple Samba servers use the same LDAP server
Hi, we are using a _single_ LDAP server as backend for _multiple_ Samba standalone file servers (security=user). This LDAP server serves mainly other purposes and access for Samba is read only so the situation is not optimal but "it works for us". Still I don't understand one phenomenon concerning visibility of LDAP groups. The LDAP configuration in smb.conf for all our Samba

Winbind authentication from different domain not working
We are running winbind(4.6.2) on member server(CentOS 7) connected to a Active directory domain. 1 Forest with 2 domains with a 2 way trust between them. We want users from “DOMAIN A” be able to logon(via SSH) on a server "SERVER01" in “DOMAIN B”. This works well if the “SERVER01" in "DOMAIN B” can talk directly to “DOMAIN A” but when their is a firewall between “SERVER01”

Show the structure of password use in domain
Hello all; I use samba 4.7.2 in a CentOS 7.5 proxmox container. Is there a way to know the password structure for a domain? I mean, the number of characters that must use the password, to set the use of password requiere complexity structures, to set the number of days before the change of the password, etc. How I can see this?
