why --delete dosen't work in my script?
Hi, In my backup script I have noticed nothing gets deleted on the remote end even though I have --delete and --delete-excluded. Did I miss anything obvious here? rsync -azC -e ssh --relative --one-file-system --sparse --numeric-ids --vP $IGNORE ## a long list of --exclude patterns --delete --delete-excluded --bwlimit=0 --backup --suffix=''

DirectShow filter for Speex
Hi, I've had many requests in the past for a Speex DirectShow filter. Well, the wait is now over, thanks to Jean-Francois Emond. Both source and binaries are available from the "Other software" page (http://www.speex.org/projects.html). Bear in mind that for now, only a subset of Speex features are supported (8 kHz, 15 kbps). For those who would like to know what's coming next,

idmap GID range became full without reason
Please excuse my ignorance: I have been running Samba for a little time, and I've very little experience with it. I'm running Samba 3.0.37 on FreeBSD 7.2/amd64, configured as member server of a domain whose PDC is a Samba 3.0.25b-apple (the default Samba instance running on a Mac OS X 10.5.8). The member server is sharing a couple of folders for 5 users (most of whom are using Mac OS

squid cache question
Hi Friends, Same question has been asked on the Squid mailing list but so far no reply on the mailing list so posting it here also. We are trying to cache some files from apple.com like .dmg, .pkg, .ipa etc.. so that local clients can fetch the data from the cache. The problem we are facing is that we have download restrictions for every client to 25 MB during work hours except for a particular

losing AD user & group information
Hello, A few weeks ago we started joining some remote servers to our AD domain as member servers. Several times now we have come back to them and found ownership settings missing like the following. Problems booting into ZFS on recent stable/9
I had a sparc64 (Netra X1) running a stable/9 from late March 2013. Actually, the kernel may've been a bit newer than that as I was working with folks to diagnose and repair some Netra-X1 specific issues. But, ZFS worked fine. I have two pools, zroot as a RAID1 (using equally sized partitions at the front of two large disks), and a zdata that is a large pool of the remaining space of both

Many "Error: Corrupted index cache file /XXX/dovecot.index.cache: invalid record size"
Hi all, I just joigned this list, so I'm sorry if this problem has already been reported. I'm running Dovecot 2.0.13 on many servers, one for POP/IMAP access, others for LDA, others for authentification only, etc. All servers are accessing a shared file system, based on MooseFS (www.moosefs.org). The FS is mounted using FUSE. All my Dovecot servers have this configuration :

Memory limitation in GeoR - Windows or R?
Dear Aaron, I am really a tool user and not a tool maker (actually an ecologist doing some biostatistics)... so, I take the liberty of sending a copy of this e-mail to the r-help list where capable computer persons and true statisticians may provide more relevant information and also to Paulo Ribeiro and Peter Diggle, the authors of geoR.. I really feel that your huge matrix cannot be

Logistic curve fitting with y values >1 (R version 2.15.2, OS is OS X 10.6.8)
Hello, I'm trying to fit a logistic curve to data but I'm having a hard time discovering how. Every tutorial I've come across either assumes the logistic curve has 0<y<1 or assumes I have multiple categories of data I simply have two vectors, a and b, of equal length with no missing data, and I suspect they follow a logistic curve. The vectors are a<-c(39609, 39643,

formula substitution by its calculated value
Dear R_Users, I am confronted to a technical issue that I wouldn't even know how to start to handle and where to look at. It is about data manipulation in a dataframe and value substitution Imagine I have a matrix describing a set of chemical equations. Colnames are Components names and Rownames are Reaction names Each cell in that matrix corresponds to the stoechiometric coefficient to the

sending a vector of characters as arguments for a function
Dear all, It seems to be a recurrent problem to me and I am asking your help to get over it once for all ... My idea is : I have variables C_1, C_2, C_3 ... that corresponds to vectors of size n, and I would like to cbind them. I get a vector of their names using : temp<- ls(pat="C") And I like to find a way to use this vector temp as an argument to cbind.
