Hi all,
I have deleted and reinstalled samba 3.4.0 and then I got a failure at starting samba .I guess that was because of lacking of smb.conf ( I have deleted it manually and it didn't install it back)
And I have decided to install samba4 which gave me also the same failure so I have again installed samba 3.4.0 and I found out an smb.conf file from

Since some months I can not get any feedback from you for my questions
in two different account with the same name. I just wonder is there any
specific reason for it? Maybe my english is not so clear or I ask wrong
questions for wrong lists I don't know but in any case I think I should
have been informed.

samba4/Win2008: error -> directory property cannot be found in the cache
I setup a samba4 pdc and successfully added a Windows 2008 machine to
the domain.
When I start up the "Active Directory Users and Computers" tool, I get a
"Naming information cannot be located because: directory property cannot
be found in the cache" error.
I'm running a pretty up to date version of samba4. The head commit is:

Samba 4 Kerberos: Failed to decrypt PA-DATA
Hi everyone
After almost 2 days up-time with Samba 4, it failed again. This time it
simply will not restart.
The krb5.conf had got corrupted. I replaced it with this one from
/usr/local/samba/private
/etc/krb5.conf

dns_lookup_realm = false
dns_lookup_kdc = true
It starts up OK:

Quo vadis?
Hi,
In the course of my experiments with rt kernels
it so happens that the gui versions of tuna built
from upstream (RHEL, F11) SRPMs show wrong affinity settings
for IRQ threads.
Where would be a proper place to report this
and get some help on other rt-related issues?
Thanks,
Sasha

Dynamic DNS failures with Samba4
Hi,
I've used samba3 for years, and it mostly did exactly what I wanted, In
the last few weeks I decided to install Samba4. I got it installed and
everything seems to be working as expected. I have one small issue, and
I'm not really sure if the problem is Samba4, bind, my client PC or
something else I haven't considered.
I've got one Linux server, which acts as a Samba
