Hello List,
I have a network consisting of several Win2K Pro, WinXp Home, WinXp Pro

printing via embedded USB printserver
hi,
I'm having trouble printing with smbclient via an embedded USB
printserver. This printserver is a nifty little $35 box with an Ethernet
jack and a USB jack that provides network access to your USB printer as
a Windows share (a poor man's Jetdirect, if you will).
I can connect to the printer with smbclient, but when I try to print
anything, even a small text file, I always get the

Hello,
I like to move a Samba Printserver to a different machine. I would
like to copy the printerdriver from the old to the new machine and not
reinstall all drivers/printers again. When I only copy the files from
/var/lib/samba/drivers to the new machine, there are no drivers listed
on the new machine. How do I get the drivers listed on the new

SAMBA as as printserver ..
Was looking for some quick advice on SAMBA as a printserver:
I'm in the position of trying to "sell" my company on a Linux-
based printserver to relieve the burden of handling 30+
printer spools off of our NT PDC (25 NT servers, and we're
printserving off of our PDC .. don't ask me, I'm new here. =)
With SAMBA 2.0.6, I have gotten SAMBA properly handling print

Question regarding hypergeometric 2f1 function
Hi,
I'm an R newbie and I've got a question regarding a certain function in R. I
need to calculate values of the hypergeometric 2f1 function (hyp2f1 in
cephes math library, Hypergeometric2f1 in Mathematica) and I'm wondering if
anyone has tried to implement it in R or S-Plus. If not, what would be the
prefered way to do so? Should I rather try to use an external C module or

Samba Backup Printserver
Hi all,
I have set up two print servers with cups and samba 3.0.1.
One of the samba servers is active and serves the windows clients.
If the active server crashes (by hard- or software) I want to be able to make
the other samba server active and act as the crashed samba server within minutes.
Due to the fact that installing the windows printer drivers on samba takes a

Hello,
I've got an rh9 box which i am using for printing. I've got cups

Printserver and Passwords
Hallo,
I must install a separatly printerserver for our PCs, a sun with solaris 2.5.
The Win95/98-PCs connect the server with samba (1.9.18p10). The server shall
not ask for a password if somewhere connect the printservices. But the server
allways ask for passwords, not only at the first time. This Problem is only for
win95, win98 works ok.
Here my smb.conf:
