NetShareEnum bug on Win 2003 Server
Hi all!
I believe there is a bug regarding NetShareEnum command when run
against a Win 2003 server.
When run I only get back one share and then I get Segmentation fault.
Using NetShareGetInfo 'sharename' works perfectly and also NET LIST
SHARE.
Any suggestions?
Samba version is 3.21.rc-1 running on a FC 4 machine.

Henrik

Not able to see public shares on W2k from Linux
Hi all,
I work with linux and SUSE 8.1 in a W2K PDC environment. I successfully
configured Samba to be able to connect from the Wk2 computers to
linux and vice versa with one exception:
I'm not able to see the public shares of the window computers from linux
(NetShareEnum failed, NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED)
unless I provide a username and password. From Windows to Windows it's no

Once again.Tinc for gaming
Howdy,
I would like to bring this topic up again. Gaming via tinc. We use
tinc-1.0.16 on Linux, Win7 and WinXP so far.
Setup was pretty straight forward. All the nodes have mode set to switch
and subnet to 10.0.0.0/24.
Ping works, smb shares work. Everything seems fine BUT connecting ingame
only works with 1 out of 5 games.
In some games, we see each other in the lobby. I conclude, that UDP

Regression: The 'net' command is now failing to login (UNKNOWN ENUM VALUE 1003?)
This spnego stuff makes me think about "client ldap sasl wrapping = sign"
to be added in some cases. There are threads related to that posted
recently.
Disabling spnego is, if I'm not mistaken, disabling Kerberos. Disabling
Kerberos should not be what you really want with AD : )

RE: [ofa-general] Infiniband performance
Hi Jan,
I asked almost the exact same question as you about 6 months ago and someone provided some Gen4 results for me (But I can''t seem to find them in email), they were a fair bit better than Gen3.
With IPOIB, you want connected mode and a large 32Kb+ MTU for max bandwidth, 1Gbyte/sec or more should be possible with Gen 4.
Here are some of my original test results on my Opteron

Fetching ACL data from extended attributes
A Samba server I've configured uses the VFS acl_xattr module to support Windows ACLs. I'd like to view the ACL data, in as raw a state as possible, but also in a human readable format. Is there an existing utility that does that? If not, and I need to write an application to accomplish it, which APIs would you recommend (and on which attributes)?

PHP script timeout RoR counterpart ?
Hello, I''m running Apache + fastcgi and I wonder how to allow a script
to run for a moderated period of time (up to 2 or 3 minutes - this is
for an intranet app, not a website)
At first, I think it should be the -idle-timeout parameter of the
FastCgiServer directive in Apache conf
Am I right ??
Thanks
