[LLVMdev] How to use clang -intergrated-as to compile cross-(os/target) assembly file.
I don't think we should attempt to mangle symbols declared in assembly source files. If you're writing assembly, you will need to handle ABI portability, including the _ prefix on win32 x86. clang will run the C preprocessor for you if you use the .S file suffix (case matters). samba 4.8x problem
Dear all, We are using samba domain and i upgraded the samba from 4.7.9 to 4.8.9. With the old version, people in our domain can view and can share the folders without asking password and the people that out of the domain can view and shared the folders with writing \\IP_ADDRESS PROMPT USERNAME: PASSWORD. with the new version, there is no problem about viewing and sharing folders with the

[LLVMdev] StructLayout
How are bitfields handled in StructLayout? In LLVM 2.5 the struct is unambiguously size by: StructSize += TD.getTypePaddedSize(Ty); // Consume space for this data In LLVM 2.6 it's getTypeAllocSize, which does the same thing. Unfortunately, this is not correct for bitfields. For example, LLVM reports this struct: typedef struct test1 { short f0 : 10; char f1 : 5; long f2 : 1;

Where's the formal syntax?
I've been using linux:TC from a USBstik in order to not break the M$ capability, as previously always happened. Since TC runs in RAM, it has many extra problems; like reinstalling all the apps and your private settings at each boot. The sample isolinux.cfg which I've been emailed by the oficianado is very unfamiliar and worrying. Where is the official syntax ? -- Without knowing if/how

winbind problems
I had to move an existing member server to new hardware. Using getent on this Debian Jessie system, I cannot get winbind to retrieve the domain users, except for administrator, guest, tsinternetuser, and krbtgt. Although none of my other working systems have it, I added the "dedicated keytab", "kerberos method", and "winbind refresh tickets" parameters to match

Differences adding printers between Windows XP & Windows 7
Not sure what's going on here, but it's got to be a permissions thing it would seem. Background: working ADS. Samba 3.5.6 atop Freebsd 8.1 as domain member When I attempt to load drivers with Windows XP Pro (32bit), everything is fine. I can load either x32 drivers or x64 drivers. The same cannot be said for Windows 7. I cannot correctly load drivers with Windows 7, and here is a

Testing my Flac x64 build
Hi! Because I'm currently running Vista x64 I thought I could try to do an x64 build of the Flac command line encoder. I used NAnt scripts instead of Visual Studio since Visual C++ Express 2008 doesn't support x64 builds (if anyone's interested, I can clean them up somewhat and send them to you). I took great care to use the exact same arguments for the compiler and linker as

Old problem with get_file_version , Windows 2003 x64 (Jerry, you know this one!)
Jerry, All, I am trying to get x64 drivers installed onto a Samba 3.0.24 server, however I am getting an error that looks like it was last seen in 2005, ie when Windows checks the driver is uploaded OK, it thinks it's not for the correct architecture: [2007/04/30 17:18:04, 3] smbd/dosmode.c:unix_mode(147) unix_mode(x64/3/UNIDRV.DLL) returning 0744 [2007/04/30 17:18:04, 2]

[LLVMdev] Windows x64 support
Hi, I'm using LLVM for JIT compilation of shaders for my ray tracer (http://www.indigorenderer.com). My primary development target is 32 bit and 64 bit Windows. JIT compilation of shaders is working great for x86 code, but for x64 code LLVM doesn't really work, due to ABI incompatibilties in the form of calling convention errors with x64 windows, I think. Anyway, my questions are as

Creating a Windows import lib from R.dll (x64)?
Hello, The procedure for creating an import library (Rdll.lib) that is documented in gnuwin32/README.packages works fine using the i386 architecture, but it doesn't seem to work under x64. Specifically, the procedure is: pexports R.dll > R.exp lib /def:R.exp /out:Rdll.lib /machine:X86 R.dll There are two issues under x64: 1. Older version of pexports crash when applied to an x64 R.dll.
