winbind/wbinfo not pulling info from W2K AD PDC
Hi list, I have samba-3.0.2-2 rpm installed on Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 AS kernel version. I've been using the Samba 3 How-To and messages on various mailing lists to join Samba to an AD domain and authenticate using winbind/pam. So far Samba has successfully become a member of the AD domain and can browse file servers using smbclient but I haven't been able to get winbind working -

Read many cvs files
Hello R helpers, I would like to automate this code for many files of the same type. But I don´t know how to make it. In particular, i don´t know how to read many files each one as an r object with the name of the file. Then a for loop would be sufficient, right? Many thanks and a happy new year. samba4: samba-tool and (unix) uids
Hello, at my universities CS computer pools we're trying to migrate our samba3 based NT domain to AD with samba4-rc1. In the past we had a little script which our users could run on their own from their linux account which created a samba user with their own uid/gid and set their password (via smbpasswd). We're trying to recreate this behaviour with "samba-tool user create"

Domain user printing
It looks like a domain user has NO printing permission. Do I need Policy Editor for this? Where do I get it to run on an XP Pro system? I have seen various notes about this, but I can't make head or tails of them.

quasipoisson, glm.nb and AIC values
Dear R users, I am having problems trying to fit quasipoisson and negative binomials glm. My data set contains abundance (counts) of a species under different management regimens. First, I tried to fit a poisson glm: > summary(model.p<-glm(abund~mgmtcat,poisson)) Call: glm(formula = abund ~ mgmtcat, family = poisson) . . . (Dispersion parameter

loglinear models
I am using the loglin function of the base package to fit log-linear models. I am interested in obtaining the parameter values and their standard errors. Parameters are easily obtained, but I haven't found the way of obtaining their standad errors. Is this possible with the loglin function? If not, is there any other function to get them? Many thanks, -- Vicente Piorno Departamento de Ecolox?a

Bug: Dovecot index loosing sync with FTS despite "fts_autoindex = yes"
I think I'm progressing: if I create a brand new user, send her an email, it will not be indexed right away. I need to doveadm rescan / index the Inbox before. At the end of this email, a dovecot's debug log snipset (grep'ed on this user). In it I can read: "Debug: fts: Indexes disabled for namespace '' Can this be a problem ? Thanks doveconf -n output: # 2.2.34

That message is coming from the temporary raw user, not from the actual user. How did you verify that the FTS indexes are not created or updated automatically? Bug: Dovecot index loosing sync with FTS despite "fts_autoindex = yes"
?Bump. Can someone from dovecot dev team please respond something to my problem ? I've provided all the possible information, and if not please tell me. Or do you only provide support for your own FTS solution bundled with the paid version of dovecot-pro ? If so, you should clearly state it in the wiki. dovecot 2.2.34 solr 7.2 I only see new messages after typing on the server "doveadm fts rescan -u username" though I've followed the wiki and added "fts_autoindex = yes" in 90-plugin.conf . Subsequent search for the same pattern always gives the same result, ignoring new emails with that particular pattern. Solr is working correctly and the correct search results comes

Bizarre permissions problem
Help! I have been using dovecot for some years with great success. A little while ago, I changed my mail server from Fedora to CentOS linux. I reinstalled dovecot, and *almost* everything seems to be working, but one thing. There's *one* user I can't get it to work on without a workaround. The user is "newuser" and the uid is 1111 (actual name and number changed to protect
