Clash between multiple authentication databases (security problem?)
Hi all, I just installed dovecot-1.0_beta2 and love it! However, I've run into issues using multiple authentication databases. I use both pam (for users on my system) and sql (for virtual users). I've noticed that if I have system user "userabc" and virtual user "userabc at otherdomain.com" (two distinct users) and my "auth default" section contains these

large fonts on plots
Hi all, I need to enlarge te fonts used oo R-plots (plots, histograms, ...) in labels and titles etc. I seem to be unable to figure out how to do it. The problem is that the titles of the plots are simply unreadable when I insert them into my LaTeX text, since they are relatively small compared to the entire plot. I am sure it is pretty simple, can anybody give me a hint ? Please reply

left-aligned title?
Hi, I am trying to insert a letter in a plot corner outside the plotting area. Thus, "legend" and "text" don't seem to work. "title" does the trick, but I cannot find a way of moving it from the center to the left corner... I already tried with a few parameters from par, but title does not take them. Would anyone have an idea on how to pull this one off?

Newbie question - force file permission to user's secondary groups.
samba version is 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.7 -- I created users on both samba and the linux system, and created 3 groups on the system. Each of these groups own a specific directory, the directory on the filesystem belongs to root.groupfoo. On my smb.conf I gave each of these groups write access to its directory (@groupfoo to the share /groupfoo). So now every linux user belonging to groupfoo can write

tics and grids
Hi, Whats the easiest way to set a desired interval for tics on axes in R ? And will the 'grid' command put gridlines on all tics automatically ? I tend to get stuck with graphs with ranges 0-1 with only 2 tics and 2 gridlines in the 0-1 range, while I would like 10 tics (or every 0.1) tnx, Piet please reply to pvremortNOSPAM at vub.ac.be

a problem: factors, names, tables ..
Hi all, I am *completely* lost in trying to solve a relatively simple task. I want to compute the relative number of occurences of an event, the data of which sits in a large table (read from file). I have the occurences of the events in a table 'tt' 0 2 10 11 13 14 15 15 6 1 3 8 15 10 .. meaning that event of type '0' occurs 15 times, type '2' occurs 6 times

any european maps
Dear all, I've seen that there are some maps, or at least costlines in R. The oz package is the map of Autralia and in the fields package there is a US map and a world map. This world map allows to select smaller sections such Europe: library(fields) world(xlim=c(-10,18),ylim=c(36,60)) However, at this scale the map is quite crude (and several important big islands are messing). Simple question about export
Hi, Sorry about making this stupid question, but I did not find the answer from documentation. I managed to read my spss .sav file into the R, no problem. Next I would like to write this data to a file in ascii-format. I tried to use write.table and I got no error messages, but no file either. What is the right way to make it? At least write.table("c:\foo\data.dat") does not

Windows Offline Folders
Am running Samba 2.2.7 on Red Hat 8.0 with Windows 2K clients patched to SP4 Creating off line folders works fine but if any file is modified off line and then sync'd back when the laptop is reconnected to the network it comes back with an unable to connect - access denied message. But I can quite happily copy the files over manually. I have attached the log file (log level = 3) for the

OT: DMARC / DKIM Failure Reports
Hi guys, when I send e-mails to CentOS mailing list <centos at centos.org>, I received DMARC / DKIM failure reports. Is it possible to solve this problem and if so how? puppetmasterd continuously consuming high CPU, with many interrupts
So, I have a server at home that has four VMs running inside it. All are managed via puppet. The physical host runs puppetmasterd. I don''t recall noticing this before, but puppetmasterd has decided to be kind of crazy. Here''s the physical host with no puppetmasterd running: top - 11:36:15 up 271 days, 15:16, 1 user, load average: 5.68, 5.50, 6.45 Tasks: 129 total, 1

sort
Dear all, It seems there''s a sort bug with ferret 0.10.9 on Debian. I sort the search results by a field which can contain null values. The string sort type doesn''t work. If I test the values and replace null by empty strings when indexing, it works. And route print? Do you have any servers on the WAN? (or is everyone connecting to the servers THROUGH the WAN?) Can you see the samba machines at all in network neghborhood? What happens when you type in the UNC of a samba server manually? (i.e. \\SAMBASERVERNAME) I hope I can help you, and I'm trying, but I'm not a samba guru. -Dan PS. Hello I have Samba that joined Windows 2003 based ADS. At least "net ads testjoin" and "net rpc testjoin" gives that "Join is OK". Alas clients can't connect to Samba server. In a log I see following messages : [2005/04/08 14:51:41, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:(725) tdb(/web/opt/etc/smbprivate//secrets.tdb): tdb_lock failed on list 2 ltype=2 (Resource temporarily

Printing Issues with NT type Clients.
Hi. To begin with, I have a freshly built RedHat Linux 8.0 box running samba 2.2.8a. The kernel version is 2.4.18-14. I downloaded and compiled samba from source. I am using LPRng-3.8.9-6 as my printing system. The attached printer is a Lexmark Z22 printer and it is attached to the parralel port. Problem: For the life of me, I can't get NT type clients, NT4, 2K and XP to print to samba.
