Cannot change SID on NTUSER.DAT file
Hi. I have just changed to the latest version of samba on a CentOS 5.4 machine as I now have Win7 computers in the domain. [root] #>smbd -V Version 3.5.4-0.83.el5_7.2 On the old version (I think 3.0.29) I was able to change the SID on any NTUDER.DAT file happily. Now I cannot change SID on any NTUSER.DAT file. However, I can log into the domain using the username that is attached to the

Hi. Current host OS: CentOS5.9 Current client OS: Windows XP (all the latest stuff) Current Samba: 3.6.6-0.129.el5 Ever since 3.4 I am having problems with the "/usr/bin/profiles" binary, it does NOT allow me to change a SID within a registry file. I saw the following log entry when connecting to a print share on a Samba 3.0.7 box from a Windows 2000 client. I assume the attempt to allocate 1Gb+ of RAM has got to be wrong? Samba 4.4.5 exists with segmention fault on FreeBSD 10.3 during domain provision
Hi Michael, I'm facing the same problem, samba 4.4.x is apparently broken on FreeBSD for now. Here's a link to the bug https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=209787 For now the port maintainer seem out of ideas to fix this. You seems more skilled then me on freebsd, maybe you can help him on this bug :) DS On 07/20/2016 02:17 AM, Michael Osipov wrote: > Hi folks,

Hello Chandler, > First and foremost - how do you address correctness issues here? Because the subtraction `A - B` can escape/capture more things. Specifically, if one of `A` or `B` is escaped/captured, the > subtraction can be used to escape or capture the other pointer. So *some* of the conservative treatment is necessary. What is the plan to update all the analyses to remain correct?

Compiling issues latest samba4
Hey all, I'm having some difficulties compiling the latest samba4 from git. It all goes fine untill the linking. I've copy pasted the error i'm getting below. I've cleaned it, removed and redownloaded it, tried with both developer configure and normal configure and it all seems to get stuck on the same spot. Thanks for any pointers. [3516/3794] Linking

help booting iso's?
Hi. I prefer using the syslinux boot loader and recently undertook a project of creating a multiboot USB drive that boots using syslinux. The aim is to create a medium from which various live linux environments can be run for things like system maintenance, installation, and perhaps demonstration. I anticipate using this multiboot USB drive on mostly legacy, BIOS systems, if that matters. As

fsck.ocfs2 using huge amount of memory?
We are setting up 2 new EL5 U4 machines to replace our current database servers running our demo environment. We use 3Par SANs and their snap clone options. The current production system we snap clone from is EL4 U5 with ocfs2 1.2.9, the new servers have ocfs2 1.4.3 installed. Part of the refresh process is to run fsck.ocfs2 on the volume to recover, but right now as I am trying to run it on our

File uploaded to webDAV server on GlusterFS AFR - ends up without xattr!
Hello list. I'm testing GlusterFS AFR mode as a solution for implementing a highly available webDAV file storage for our production environment. Whlie doing performance tests I've notticed a strange behavior: the files which are uploaded via a webDAV server, end up without extended attributes, which removes the ability to self-heal. The set up is a simple testing environment with 2
