Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
Hi Michael. I fear I'm becoming a pain in your back. Sorry. The problem with the "Components" and "Suite" name in the "InRelease" file for bionic-cran35 has been solved. *Many thanks for that.* However, "sudo apt-get install r-base" creates an error message (again here the German version): ulrich at linuxdesktop:~$ sudo apt-get install r-base

upgrade samba
How does one move from a rpm based samba to tar.gz? In other words how do I upgrade from samba-2.2.1a-4 to samba-2.2.6.tar.gz. Do I remove samba : rpm -e samba? And what do I do with the other samba rpm packages: samba-client-2.2.1a-4 & samba-common-2.2.1a-4? Are they included with the tar package? Using RH7.2. ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken not thrown in Windows
Hi all, I''m getting some weird behavior. I''m developing on two machines, one with os x and the other with windows xp. I was testing one of my registration forms and it worked fine when mongrel_rails was run on the windows machine, but when mongrel was run on os x it kept throwing "ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken". I realized I had forgotten the <%=

Hello, can you please check if the dovecot repository is enabled? Is it mentioned at the top of the output when you do "yum update": (1/10): base/7/x86_64/group_gz (2/10): updates/7/x86_64/primary_db ... Fwd: Trying to update samba
Typically, RPM's from RedHat or Fedora are pretty dependent on glibc and other system libraries. Newer version of RedHat will have newer versions of glibc, so the official packages are often not compatible with older versions. Sernet may have precompiled RPM's that may be useful. http://sernet.de/en/samba/samba-3/ If not you will probably need to compile from source. Or move to a

fitted probabilities in multinomial logistic regression are identical for each level
I was hoping for some advice regarding possible explanations for the fitted probability values I obtained for a multinomial logistic regression. The analysis aims to predict whether Capgras delusions (present/absent) are associated with group (ABH, SV, homicide; values = 1,2,3,), controlling for previous violence. What has me puzzled is that for each combination the fitted probabilities are

Likelihood returning inf values to optim(L-BFGS-B) other options?
Dear R-help list, I am working on an optimization with R by evaluating a likelihood function that contains lots of Gamma calculations (BGNBD: Hardie Fader Lee 2005 Management Science). Since I am forced to implement lower bounds for the four parameters included in the model, I chose the optim() function mith L-BFGS-B as method. But the likelihood often returns inf-values which L-BFGS-B
