-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
All,
I'm trying to get samba4 to provision with the latest git version. My
provision command looks like so:
# ./setup/provision --realm=TEST.DOMAIN --domain=DOMAIN --adminpass=pass
- --server-role='domain controller' --ldap-backend-type=openldap
- --slapd-path=/usr/sbin/slapd
I get the following output from the command:

samba4 + OpenLDAP
Hey All,
I am trying to setup a samba4 environment with OpenLDAP backend on a Debian
5 server by using the following howto:
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/LDAP_Backend/OpenLDAP
Everything goes well but when I come at the point of provisioning I get the
following output and the provisioning stops.

Samba4 + existing OpenLDAP possible?
Hello list,
I've got an already running OpenLDAP-Server with online configuration
through cn=config.
Is it possible to use the existing OpenLDAP with Samba4 alpha12?
For the existing openldap ps aux gives me
/usr/sbin/slapd -h ldap:/// ldapi:/// -g openldap -u openldap -F
/etc/ldap/slapd.d/
but when I try
setup/provision --realm=ad.pallas --domain=ad --ldapadminpass="XXX"

samba4 + openldap: provisioning isnt working
Wiki seems to be out of date here. The wiki reference's [1] [2] a "setup/provision-backend"
script, as well as a "setup/provision" script, yet current git only has a setup/provision
executable. Some #samba and #openldap IRC advice was that provision-backend wasnt needed
anymore, but based off the errors i'm seeing, there's definitely _something_ missing, I just

Problem setting password: : failed to pull old supplementalCredentialsBlob: NT_STATUS_BUFFER_TOO_SMALL
Hello,
I am stuck with a error when setting password for a couple of specific
users. This error makes impossible to set the password for the affected
users.
In Windows I get an operation error but the samba-tool output is more
informative:
samba-tool user setpassword user2 --newpassword=

'check password script' and Join...
Did you run the command to disable the password check or complexabilty on all you DC's?
That is needed.

'check password script' and Join...
Make a note: it is better to disable 'check password script' in the
DC(s) before trying to join a new DC. ;(

What do you think samba-tool does ?
Using samba-tool to set expiry, ultimately does this:
setexp = """
dn: %s
changetype: modify
replace: userAccountControl
userAccountControl: %u

Searching samba ldap without authentication
Hello,
I'm writing a set of python scripts that need to consult samba ldap
database without authentication.
I've set up 2 machines, the first as PDC, the second as BDC.
I run my scripts on both and while they run fine on the PDC they end
with error on the BDC.
Here is the minimal example that behave this way:
import ldap
