Help on Plot Title where text is "mixed" with numerical carachters
Dear All,
I have the following code set up:
x <-2000
y <-8
z <-3
I would need to use these numbers to show up in my plot title "mixed" with text. The x,y,z numbers would need to change, the text would not. So my title should look like this
"x txt1 y txt2 z txt3"
so if:
txt1=hours
txt2=minutes
txt3=seconds
then my title of the plot should read: 2000 hours

Hi all... I?m making a chart dealing with frequencies of isotopes of various
elements. For instance, I'd like the following text to appear on a chart

Hello all Samba enthusiasts.
I am a noob w.r.t. samba configuration and just happened to use it on
Solaris systems by creating conf files using copy-paste :-). This is
just to convey that I'm no advanced user and might need help with the
solutions / alternatives to come.

Spinning mongrels and SIGUSR1
First off: Our clusters are LVS balanced Apache 2.2.3 +
mod_proxy_balancer + gem mongrel 0.3.13.3 / mongrel_cluster 0.2 +
memcached / gem memcache_client + gem rails 1.1.6 on debian boxen, and a
pgcluster backend.
On 2 of our deployed clusters, we are getting the "spinning mongrel"
problem. As the clusters are very low volume right now, it takes days to
collect a spinner, making it

File/dir user permissions on Samba fileserver in DC
Hi, aLL
Using Samba-4.3.5 as a AD-member - fileserver. It's running in OpenVZ
container (ProxMox VE). Domain is also build on Samba-4.3.5 (another
VM). Fileserver's VM is mounted with acl, user_xattr options, Samba
compiled with ACL support.
There're domain users, for example, "usr1", "usr2". They're in domain
group "dg1".

multithreading, subnet weights, logging info
Multiple questions here, thinking one email is less annoying (sorry if
not). Running tinc 1.0.31
1. Could anyone give an explanation (or point to documentation) of the
differences between Connections, Nodes, and Edges in the USR1/2 logging,
and the various information in there?
2. Connections appears to match the list of ConnectTo hosts in the main
config file -- does this mean this node can

Memory usage in R grows considerably while calculating word frequencies
I am working with some large text files (up to 16 GBytes). I am interested
in extracting the words and counting each time each word appears in the
text. I have written a very simple R program by following some suggestions
and examples I found online.
If my input file is 1 GByte, I see that R uses up to 11 GBytes of memory
when executing the program on
a 64-bit system running CentOS 6.3. Why is

dynamic bandwidth allocation
Hi list
I was wondering if this is (or could be) possible with rsync. I was
wondering if there was a way to change the bandwidth limit
(--bwlimit=KBPS) dynamically while rsync is running? Could this be
possible maybe with signals like USR1 add 5KBPS and USR2 subtracts
5KBPS? I'm not a programmer, just throwing ideas out there!

Routing and keying Questions
Hello!
I use tincd to interconnect 3 LANs: A, B and C. So long, it works fine:
everybody reaches everybody. But I want a different behavior: A and B should
be allowed to talk, as should B and C. I tried to simply delete the
host-files on the nodes that should not be allowed to talk to eachother:
A has a hostfile from B
B has a hostfile from A and C
C has a hostfile from B
But this is no

trouble routing packets
Hi all :)
I have a masqueraded home lan as well as a friend of mine. I have set up
two tinc daemons on both masquerading gateways and I have no trouble
connecting (it works pretty smooth) and they show up in the syslog as
configured after sending an USR1 / USR2 signal to the daemons. The trouble
is the routing / firewalling of the packets. Maybe somebody could give me
a hand here? :)
