Help - Cannot join Windows 7 client to Samba PDC
I have been going through all the Wikis and various Google searches to try
to solve my problem, all to no avail.
I can mount a Samba share, but whenever I try to login using a domain
account, I receive an error about "The trust relationship between this
workstation and the primary domain failed."
What I have done so far, all to no avail.

Unable to change password in windows - SAMBA_LDAP_PDC
Hi All.
I have a SAMBA PDC that uses LDAP as its back end.
The OS, is UBUNTU 6.10 Server.
SAMBA Version is 3.022
The problem is, when a client logs onto the Domain, he presses
Control+Alt+Del, and chooses Change Password.
He types in the old password, then the new one, and confirms this.
When he clicks on OK, it thinks for a bit (about 30 seconds) and then says:

Roaming Profiles not updating.
I'm finding our employees' roaming profiles are not being updated. They were initially created correctly, they copy down onto a new machine, but updates are not put back onto the server. I've also noticed that smbstatus does not show any open dat files, such as ntuser.dat. I would have assumed that these files would have been held open while the client was connected.

local copy microsoft/credentials directory profile redirection
hello,
i've set up a domain controller to replace a production server.
both servers use profile redirection for all user environment directories.
my problem is that when logging onto the new domain and server, windows will
create in the %userprofile% local directory an Application Directory
containing Microsoft/Credentials/*SID*, although a copy exists on the
server.
this directory is used

NT4 roaming profiles not being saved completely
Hi :) I'm working with Samba 2.2.5 (Debian unstable) and have been trying to
get roaming profiles working correctly.
My test client is NT4 (SP5) which is able to log onto the domain correctly,
however even if I do things like change the background colour, change
registry entries, put stuff on the desktop, when I log off the account, only
some of the profile is uploaded.

roaming profile unusable after smb ports = 139
Hello,
I have a big problem with a samba setup.
After I tried the config option
smb ports = 139
in the global section, 90% of the roaming profiles are not
usable by the windows XP clients.
Removing the smb ports options didn't help.
No errors in the samba logfile.
erasing the profiles seems to fix the issue, but I cannot
afford losing all my users profile data!
here is my smb.conf.

Roaming Profiles Refuse to Load on MS Windows Clients
I am unable to get roaming profiles to work correctly when using a Samba
3.0.1 server with Windows 2000 and XP Pro clients. The MS Windows
clients will only load the default profile but will stubbornly refuse to
load their profile from the Samba server, even though when the user logs
off, their profile is correctly written to /home/samba/profiles/username.
I have even tried the following
