Howto hide scsi or other hardware from the virtual system
Hi, I have created a virtual system via xen and would like to strip some unrequired virtual hardware from it. Example: my virtual Windows system shows me a scsi PCI device (as unknown device). I would like to get rid of it - I am only using IDE in the virtual system. How can I hide specific hardware from the virtual system? Cheers, Emre P.S.: as far as I understand specifying

Change user SID on Samba 4.1
I had troubles with classicupgrade and linux machines, and i'm creating a new AD (for now works perfect). I want to keep the same SID of the old AD to avoid to move all users profiles. Greetings!! Somers Dyx
Hello R Community, I'm continuing to work through logistic regression (thanks for all the help on score test) and have come up against a new opposition. I'm trying to compute Somers Dyx as some suggest this is the preferred method to Somers Dxy (Demaris, 1992). I have searchered the [R] archieves to no avail for a function or code to compute Dyx (not Dxy). The overview of Hmisc has

lambda, uncertainty coefficient (& Somers D)
Dear colleagues in R, Has anybody implemented the 1) (Goodman & Kruskal) lambda or the 2) (Thiel's) uncertainty coefficient statistics (in the asymmetric and symmetric forms), or is anyone aware that they might reside in some package? A search in the R archives does indicate that they are (somehow) part of the CoCo package, but I would rather not start learning how to transform my

Migrating an NT4 domain to a Samba PDC - How to limit users access to only certain machines?
Hello! We are converting an old windows NT domain to a Samba domain. All appears well in testing, however we need to limit certain users to have permission only to log in to their specific workstation. If someone tried logging into my workstation with their account (even though their account is a valid domain account) - I need it to reject the attempt. Is there an easy way to do this? Is it

Any docs to convert samba server to Win2003 server?
Yeah I know. Not a good question to ask on a samba newsgroup. Unfortunately for this client, the software they use requires a Windows server. Since the box is less than a year old, they do not want to purchase a second server for two applications. So, I am left with the task of converting the linux/samba server to WinBloze 2003 Server. There are only 10 workstations so if I have to unjoin

All of the arrays are located in a struct. At the moment we don't detect that these arrays are disjoin, and this prevents vectorization. Indeed, they look like simple changes. If no one is dying to get them

known_hosts vulnerability?
Hey all, I came across a security news article, referenced by http://www.linux.org/news, at http://www.techworld.com/security/news/index.cfm?NewsID=3668 talking about an SSH weakness involving the known_hosts file. I apologize if this issue has already been addressed, but the mailing list archives didn't turn up anything when i tried searching for something relevant. So; not to knee-jerk or

Samba PDC + OpenLDAP replica
Hi! I would like to ask you Samba gurus if it is possible to set up Samba PDC which uses OpenLDAP replica as backend. I had two separate OpenLDAP master servers (2.2.13-4) for two different Samba PDC servers (3.0.14a-2) with TLS support in different virtual networks (VLANs), and all worked fine. However, I decided that it would be nice (from an administrative point of view) to have all
