Outbound call with Go2Call
Any got experience with these?
I couldn't fint anything in any postings...
it seems they have a h.323 on voip01.go2call.com and a sip on
sip01.go2call.com
I have tried to register with some of the same as I use for nikotel, but
Asterisk does not want to register.
I've tried to use both the user name (ingvald) and the PIN code 440.... as
authentication.

Inter Domain Trusts
Hi,
We've tried to set two servers PDC Samba 3 + OpenLDAP as following below:
Network_1 192.168.42.0/24
Network_2 192.168.43.0/24
PDC1(PRJLINUX1) - 192.168.42.2 - NETBIOS NAME = PRJARQ6
PDC2(PRJLINUX2) - 192.168.43.251 - NETBIOS NAME = PRJARQ5
OpenLDAP 2.2.24
Samba 3.0.14a Backports
Deban 3 Woody
OpenLDAP:
The servers are using the same DataBase and the PRJARQ6 is a Slave from
PRJARQ5.

looking for up-to-date documentation on trusts
The Samba How-To Documentation is very out of date- at least for the
section on Interdomain trusts (Apr 2003, doesn't mention anything beyond
Windows 2000.)
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/InterdomainTrusts
.html
The change notes also stop at that samba 3.0.x series

Hi list,
Today i tried upgrading my dovecot server from 0.99.14 to 1.0alpha3.
Unfortunately the new version does not work. The log file says:

SYSLINUX 2.10-pre2 is out
I have released SYSLINUX 2.10-pre2. I *really* would like testing
reports for this one, especially ISOLINUX, since I've included Knut
Petersen's fix for Award BIOSes...
Changes in 2.10:
* MEMDISK: Handle images compressed with zip as well as with
gzip. Some Windows-based image tools apparently generate
these kinds of images by default. Patch by Patrick

Making a share visible only to members of a group
Hi,
> I want a shared directory to be visible only to the members of a group, and

I tried to realize this by using include like: #include smb.conf.%G
But it did not work correctly. Sometimes the share was visible,
sometimes it wasnt,
and if it was visible, network path wasnt found afterwards.

Fixing corrupt flac files
Hej,
well I'm not sure because those file that are corrupt have been around for a
quite long time. It could have been k3b but I'm really not sure. Right now I
was ripping with Audex and tagging with Audex/Amarok/kid3. Those files seem to
be fine though.
My lates approaches have been with Picard/beets :-)
I think it's not possible to share those files without getting in legal

Samba 3.0.20 on Solaris: problem with fileaccess in a automounted filesystem
Regards,
Sent this one before, here's another go:
My sambaserver, let's call it sserv, is running Solaris 8 (latest
Recommended set) or 9 (tried both) compiled with automount support.
When PC client A tries to access a file in a automounted mapping from
sserv, the client is freezing and Windows Explorer has to be restarted.
The NFS server which the samba server automounts from is a

Problem using automount enabled samba 3.0.14a on Solaris 8
Regards,
I have lately experienced a rather peculiar problem, details follows:
Trying to minimise the number of samba servers, I have compiled in
support for automounting in a Solaris 8 version of samba 3.0.14a.
Amongst others, this server mounts a filesystem from a Solaris 6 box by
request. The samba server mounts the Solaris 6 filesystem fine, but when
the user tries to access the directory

Kendall's tau-c
Hello,
I can't find a package which calculates Kendall's tau-c. There is the
package Kendall, but it only calcuates Kendall's tau-b.
Here is the example from
ttp://www2.chass.ncsu.edu/garson/pa765/assocordinal.htm.
cityriots <- data.frame(citysize=c(1,1,2,2,3,3),
riotsize=c(1,2,1,2,1,2), weight=c(4,2,2,3,0,4))
cityriots <- data.frame(lapply(cityriots,function(x)

ISOLINUX & AWARD 6.00PG BIOS
Hi Peter,
thanks for SYSLINUX/ISOLINUX/PXELINUX!
Some comments regarding ISOLINUX and the AWARD 6.00PG BIOS:
If a CD drive and at least one HD drive is present in the machine,
everything works fine :-)
IF a CD drive is the _only_ drive of the PC isolinux (and any other
program that uses no-emul-boot) will fail :-((
CD floppy-emul-boot or harddisk-emul-boot will work.
IF a CD drive is the

RMySQL installation problem - partially solved
.. but don;t forget to add checkBuilt=TRUE , otherwise you may find (as
I did) that you update packages for your current version, but not those
built for a previous version of R.

Trust between Samba PDC and AD domain
I've pored through the documentation, wiki, lists, etc, and I can't seem
to come to a concise conclusion on how to accomplish this.
My specific scenario is the following.
I have a samba PDC domain called domainA, and an AD domain called
domainB. domainA and domainB are different named domains, and they each
authenticate logins and credentials on their own turf.
The users on domainA

Samba 3.0.14a problem: not able to see all files in a directory
Regards,
Samba 3.0.14a, running on Solaris 8 or Sgi IRIX 6.5.27.
Scenario:
1. User has a symlink on his homeshare to a directory, let's call it
dir1, which is automounted to the samba server (tried both Solaris samba
server and Sgi, same result).
2. In a subdirectory under dir1 there's another directory (dir2) which
contains a file (filename.wrl).
3. When the user directs Windows

nt pipe support and nt smb support in smb.conf
Regards,
This is kind of urgent (isn't everything nowadays :-).
Historically, our samba servers need to run with the two 'untouchables'
"nt pipe support" and "nt smb support" both set to "no" (non default)
based on a recommendation by one of our software vendors. These settings
in smb.conf now prevents WIN2K SP2 clients from creating directories on

Last Friday, Gregory Chaitin (http://www.umcs.maine.edu/~chaitin/lm.html)
