OT: ManxPower 2005 European Tour
I've helped a lot of people on the mailing lists and on IRC #asterisk.
and wanted to let people know that I will be in Europe between May 19
and June 21. Stockholm (VON 2005), Brussels (holiday/vacation),
Amsterdam (holiday/vacation), and Madrid (Astricon). There are
several weeks during my trip that I have no current plans for and may
add other cities to my itinerary.
I'm looking

Additionally to the problems I reported earlier, I'Ve discovered another

Search and extract string function
Hi all,
I'm trying to write a function that will search and extract from a long
character string, but with a twist: I want to use the characters before and
the characters after what I want to extract as reference points. For
example, say I'm working with data entries that looks like this:
Drink=Coffee:Location=Office:Time=Morning:Market=Flat

Filling Wx::ListCtrl with contents
Hi all,
I''ve got a question concerning ListCtrl_virtual of wxRuby since I see no
way filling the list with dynamic contents. I''m new to Ruby so I maybe
have to apologise for my request.
The problem is, that I have to define the on_get_item_text(item, col)
function. There I would like to use the item and col variables to read
data from a two-dimensional array. My very problem

Spaces in a name
I am reading regressors from an excel file (I have no control over the file)
and some of the element names have spaces:
i.e. "Small Bank Aquired"
but I have found that lm(SourceData ~ . - "Small Bank Aquired", mcReg)
doesn't work (mcReg = modelCurrentRegressors)
As they are toggles I have ran them through factor() to be treated propertly
as 0 or 1 but due to the fact I

Hello everyone, here is some php code.
Okay,
So remember that question I had last week about taking a bunch of relay servers
and greping the status2.xsl file for the number of listeners? I coded it. I
have to apologize right now, as its krufty, nasty, braindead code. But it
works, and I'm rather proud that after being up as long as I have been up
and drinking as much coffee, it works. It should be attached to this e-mail.

USB ports in Wine
I use devices like GPS' MP3 players, Memory sticks etc via the USB port
and some need to be sinked to the device via a windows program. I have
used wine to run many of my windows apps but when it comes to accessing
the USB port through a win-apps sink programs it does not see the USB
port. Is there a way to configer the USB port to have win-apps see it?
I also have a win-app running called

Listing tables together from random samples from a generated population?
.
HI there,
I'd like to show demonstrate how the chi-squared distribution works, so I've come up with a sample data frame of two categorical variables
y<-data.frame(gender=sample(c('Male', 'Female'), size=100000, replace=TRUE, c(0.5, 0.5)), tea=sample(c('Yes', 'No'), size=100000, replace=TRUE, c(0.5, 0.5)))
And I'd like to create a list of 100

couldn't find file 'jquery' rails 3.1 stable mountable engine
When I create a new engine in Rails 3.1 stable and then access the dummy
app or the engine I get an error say that the app can''t find jquery.
I''ve created the engine using
rails plugin new coffee --mountable
I''ve also created a basic controller in the engine and the dummy app. If
I remove the javascript include tag, everything works. But with the tag

convert Factor as numeric
Dear group,
I know this issue has been already covered, and before you reply I must say
I have read the R-FAQ and search the mailing list archive.
I still can't manage to change my factor to numeric as I couldn't find any
clear answer.

compare two data frames of different dimensions and only keep unique rows

I am still struggling with something that should be easy: I compare two data frames with a lot of common rows and want to keep only rows that are NOT in both data frames, unique.
Here are an example of these data frame.

Interquartile Range
Oh thanks for that clarification Bert! Hope you enjoyed your coffee! I
ended up just using the transform argument in the ddply function. It
worked and it repeated, then I called a mode function in another call to
ddply that summarised. Kinda hacky but oh well!
