This failed with a segmentation fault, however doing this with alpha8 does not fail. I've compiled this under arm5 little endian on Ubuntu 9.04 and included a backtrace below. Any ideas where I'm going wrong or is this a

Samba 4 Cleanup Managing and Otherwise
OK, there has got to be a way to work with this thing other than wiping the Domain every time an error pops up. Trying to resolve problems I did a git upgrade and: setup# /usr/local/samba/sbin/upgradeprovision Which provided the unhelpful: Found 3 domain controllers, for the moment upgradeprovision is not able to handle upgrade on domain with more than one DC, please demote the other(s)

samba4 upgradeprovision
I have the latest samba4 4.2 git running on centos6.4 but when I originally provisioned it I didn't include the --use-rfc2307 for AD posix attributes. I'd like to map certain AD users to unix users so should I do a samba-tool upgradeprovision --use-rfc2307 to add this option?

python: listing samba shares
I've been googling that for a long time, but couldn't find an answer. I also checked the python-samba Debian (ubuntu) package contents and even compiled samba 4.0.0 alpha8, and checked its python libraries, but couldn't find anything regarding viewing the shares contents there. Is it possible to list samba shares and their contents of a particular host?

Samba 3/4 - Franky - AD
Hello I had exactly the same problem. However, I downloaded and installed GIT (apt-get install git-core in Debian / Ubuntu). I then did: git clone git://git.samba.org/samba.git samba cd samba git checkout v3-5-stable cd source3 ./configure --enable-merged-build make make install If you haven't already done so, you need lots of development libraries, for example
