pluginsync trouble over SRV lookups
Hi folks, When using SRV lookups (over 2 puppetv3.1.1/RHEL6 masters), does anyone know why the "pluginsync" fails to sync at irregular intervals ? I am using "pluginsync = true" and "pluginsource=puppet:///plugins" on my puppet-clients(3.1.1/RHEL6). Yet I get failures such as "Error: Could not set ''file'' on ensure: Error 404 on SERVER: Could

SRV lookups
Hi everyone, I have a question concerning DNS SRV lookups. The situation is like this: - one central Asterisk server - many domains with SRV records, let's say we have bar.com and doe.com Now the question is: if the SRV lookup is done for foo@bar.com the call is mapped to foo@myasterisk.mydomain.net. Is that correct? If so, I have a problem: if somebody calls foo@bar.com, Asterisk

4.20: case (in)sensitive is broken
10.06.2024 20:55, Jeremy Allison via samba wrote: > Here is the fix. Not sure if it breaks anything else (yet) :-). Wow. With the additional info from my previous email in mind, it looks like there's something else going on here. Namely, why the issue happens only if unix extensions is *excplicitly* turned off, while doesn't happen when it is turned off implicitly due to wide links?

Samba 3.0.21b winbind crash
I'm using Samba 3.0.21b on SuSE 9.3 Pro (x86) with the binary RPMs from samba.org/suse.com (3.0.21b-1.1.2-SUSE-SL9.3) on a Domain Member Server in ADS mode with winbind against W2K3 SP1 AD servers and idmap uids/gids stored in a central OpenLDAP directory. Unfortunately, winbind gives me a hard time and reproducibly dies with a PANIC on a "wbinfo -g", although I think I've

3.0.21c winbind crash
I'm using Samba 3.0.21c on SuSE 9.3 Pro (x86) with the binary RPMs from samba.org/suse.com (3.0.21c-2.1.2) on a Domain Member Server in ADS mode with winbind against W2K3 SP1 AD servers and idmap uids/gids stored in a central OpenLDAP directory. After running successfully for some time, it now refuses to start after a reboot. The domain-specific winbindd instances are even crashing. :-(

How to RSYNC from eth1 on PDC-SRV to eth1 on BDC-SRV?
I currently have my /home directory kept in sync between my primary and backup domain controllers by using rsync --archive --checksum --update --delete pdc-srv:/home/ bdc-srv:/home/. I noticed that when this command is invoked, it tends to suck up the available bandwith to eth0 during the duration that the pdc is sending a large amount of data packets to the bdc. So what I would like to do

CentOS version of /srv/www/htdocs ?
I'm installing NagiosQL on CentOS 4.5 and am trying to follow these instructions http://www.nagiosql.org/wiki/Documentation "....decompress the nagiosql-*.tar.gz to a directory accessible by your webserver (e.g. /srv/www/htdocs)" But since there is now /srv/www/htdocs folder on my installation, I'm not sure what to do on CentOS instead. Any advice? -------------- next part

DNS SRV and new Asterisk install
Heya, Just wondering if anyone has deployed a DNS SRV example that I can call to test my new asterisk install? Just want to listen to an IVR or recorded message to test I can call test@test.com or whatever. Can't find one on google :( Cheers, Chris. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Aastra phones and dns srv records
Hi guys, Does the Aastra line of phones work with dns srv records? I'm trying to get my 8133i to do this and in the settings it asks for ip addresses of registration and proxy servers. Does this mean that it will not just let me put the domain name in like other devices I have and then do fail over to other servers when needed? If these phones do not what phones do? Thanks, Tom

SIP SRV Registration problem
Hello, all, I have a Linksys 3102 from a VoIP provider. It use SRV record to register to the provider's SIP server. When I configure this line into my Asterisk, the register doesn't work if I use their domain name. So it like this: If I use register => user:pwd at proxy.provider.com then I got: [2010-05-17 11:47:19] WARNING[2366] chan_sip.c: No such host: proxy.provider.com

SRV record for non-standard SIP port?
Hello To cut down on the number of hackers trying to break into an Asterisk server, I'd like to simply move the SIP port from the standard UDP 5060 to something non-standard. Since this server must be able to receive INVITEs from any SIP UA (server or client), it appears that I must add an SRV record in the DNS so that they can locate the server and the port used to reach it. _sip._udp SRV

IAX DNS SRV
Can anyone further explain what the srvlookup=yes in iax.conf actually does? Currently I have a peer definition setup on three locations with their type as friend and setup as a trunk for inbound/outbound calling through each peer, no problems here. However when I use my DNS srv record and force an outage on one of the servers, the failover never happens. It still has the old IP address cached for

[PATCH] Let ovirt-test use DNS SRV to get qpidd server.
This patch teaches ovirt-test to use the usual DNS SRV records to connect to qpidd so we don't have to enter the server etc. on the command line. getaddrinfo() and SRV records
Ssh calls getaddrinfo() to get the server address when it makes a connection, but ignores the port, which I think is bad. Instead it calls getservbyname(), which is redundant, as getaddrinfo() normally does that for you. Among other things, this makes it impossible to use SRV records (rfc2782) on the server end to point the client at a different port. Yes, I know that getaddrinfo() does not use

asterisk, sip and SRV record
Can asterisk use SRV record from DNS? In example - I've got: _sip._tcp.gda.pl. SRV 0 0 5060 welbot.task.gda.pl. _sip._udp.gda.pl. SRV 1 0 5060 welbot.task.gda.pl. And it works with sipd (from Columbia) and vocal. I see that with asterisk it does not want to work... :-/ -- pozdr. Pawe? Go?aszewski --------------------------------- worth to see:
