Capistrano on Windows
So, I''ve just completed my first develop-test-deploy-wait -fix-test-deploy, and although it was successful it was a nightmare to carry out. Aside from not knowing that sqlite doesnt have a facility to delete columns from tables, the whole operation reeked of "hacked," with multiple command windows open while I sprinted back and forth between my dev machine and the web

Bug in xYplot() with method = 'filled bands'
Dear r-helpers, I have been bitten by a cryptic comment in the help page for xYplot(). Here is some code from Madeline Bauer, one of the authors, which is essentailly the code on the help page for xYplot(): # This example uses the summarize function in Hmisc to # compute the median and outer quartiles. The outer quartiles are # displayed using "filled bands" set.seed(111) dfr

glm with linear restrictions
I'm looking for a function or package to estimate a glm with linear restrictions (e.g. the sum of some parameters needs to be zero). I found the function orlm in the package ic.infer which works for lm models, but I need it for glm. Thanks, Markus

Microsoft RTAudio
Hello Monty: I'm OK with not continuing this on the Speex tech list. In fact, I've deliberately responded off list to the various posters. I do think, though, that your admonitions to be non political should go to both sides ... that Jean-Marc founded Speex doesn't give him license to denigrate other efforts. Thomas Leigh asked a perfectly legitimate question and Jean-Marc's

How about if I sell you a copy of speex. Buy low, sell high seems like a good capitalist plan, and then you could feel good about using Speex! Ben -- Ben Greear

I guess this really isnt the right place to be posting this it's probably the best place for me to find the answer. I would like to know if any of you are doing windows 2000/2003 installs over PXE and if so how you had it setup. I've done some searching on google and mostly found info about somthing called RIS or RAS or whatever.... it required a windows box and thats not a option.. I

3Ware 9650SE tuning advice
Hello fellow sysadmins! I've assembled a whitebox system with a SuperMicro motherboard, case, 8GB of memory and a single quad core Xeon processor. I have two 9650SE-8LPML cards (8 ports each) in each server with 12 1TB SATA drives total. Three drives per "lane" on each card. CentOS 5.2 x86_64. I'm looking for advice on tuning this thing for performance. Especially for the

Sounds like broken compiler and/or mingw runtime. This perfectly explains, why mingw gcc

"Living Downstream Without Drowning" BOF @ Dev Meeting
Mike Edwards and I will be hosting a talk/BOF called "Living Downstream Without Drowning" which is for anyone maintaining a bunch of local changes to Clang/LLVM/etc. We will present some procedures and tactics we've evolved at Sony, including patch tactics for reducing merge pain, and how we are throwing automation at the problem. But we are really curious what YOU have done

Two Stage Dialing for MF CAMA trunk
Hi all, I am trying to setup a ZAP interface to do MF signaling for a handoff to a 911 tandem. 1.0alpha4: drowning in asserts/cores
Timo, I have had to drop back to alpha3 because I found a pile of core files on my imap server this morning, from the weekend. They are all from the assert: imap(user): file mbox-lock.c: line 379 (mbox_lock_fcntl): assertion failed: (lock_type == F_UNLCK) I reported this issue to the list last Friday. Help...
