Can I use net ads join without DNS
Hi Samba people I'm trying to join a Solari10 server using Samba Version 3.0.33 server to an ADS. But the ADS is not in DNS. I thought I could get round this by putting the ADS IP in the servers local hosts file, and telling the krb5.conf not to use dns but it doesn't seem to work. 1. Can it be done ? 2. If it can how ? Output of my net join ads, still seems to be using DNS [root at

SPARC SATA, please.
Is there a card for OpenSolaris 2009.06 SPARC that will do SATA correctly yet? Need it for a super cheapie, low expectations, SunBlade 100 filer, so I think it has to be notched for 5v PCI slot, iirc. I''m OK with slow -- main goals here are power saving (sleep all 4 disks) and 1TB+ space. Oh, and I hate to be an old head, but I don''t want a peecee. They still scare me :)

Multithreaded SAMBA/Winbind
Hi. We have a configuration and audit application called Tripwire Enterprise (7.5) that is running on a Red Enterprise Linux 5.2 server. On this server, we are using winbind (samba version 3.0.33) for authentication (against Windows AD). When we try to run a configuration check on users and permissions we get an error that there is a problematic frame : C [libnss_winbind.so.2+0x129f] . I

tdb locking issue - Solaris 10 and Samba 3.0.33
(Yes, I should upgrade Samba to 3.0.35). We're running the Sun provided Samba daemon (SUNWsmbau and friends) on Solaris 10 Generic_138888-08 (sparc). Lots of Windows clients (mixed XP, 2003, 2008) hit this server and periodically we'll start seeing smbd processes begin piling up. These processes can't be killed with a normal kill -- only kill -9 will do the trick. In the past

Which is more efficient?
Greetings all, I am curious to know if either of these two sets of code is more efficient? Example1: ## t-test ## colA <- temp [ , j ] colB <- temp [ , k ] ttr <- t.test ( colA, colB, var.equal=TRUE) tt_pvalue [ i ] <- ttr$p.value or Example2: tt_pvalue [ i ] <- t.test ( temp[ , j ], temp[ , k ], var.equal=TRUE) ------------- I have three loops, i, j, k. One to test the all of

Quisiera saber cómo indicar que incluya todas las variables de pot23 a pot80

Solaris 10 and Samba 3.2 - internal error
Greetings, Before I get to far digging I was wondering if anyone else was seeing problems with Samba 3.2 on Solaris 10 (Sparc.) I built Samba with gcc 3.4.3. Clients are denied access to server resources and I'm seeing the following in the logs: [2008/07/02 15:47:38, 3] smbd/password.c:register_existing_vuid(326) register_existing_vuid: UNIX uid 10000 is UNIX user CSUNET\1001362,

Question about Posix Locking and Windows XP/SP3 clients
Hi, We have SAMBA 3.0.33 running on RedHat 5. We are sharing home directories to users via Samba using the [homes] share. The home directories reside on a Netapp filer, (actually multiple), and are accessed by the Samba server over NFS. When users try to open a Microsoft Excel file from a Windows XP SP3

Also can view all of the domain groups using 'wbinfo -g', however when I try to set the acls on a local dir' I get the follow error; #setfacl -m g:DOMAIN\\groupname:r /tmp/testacl setfacl: Option -m: Invalid argument near

I'm running FreeBSD 8 on a Sheevaplug (ARM5 processor) I compiled and installed Samba 3.3.9 from ports using defaults and defaults for dependencies. I left the smb.conf file untouched, ran testparm and immediately received the coredump. The same happens running smbd and nmbd. Can anyone help me resolve? http://old.nabble.com/file/p26879957/testparm.core.gz testparm.core.gz -- View this

Incluir un rango de varias variables explicativas a un modelo
Hola, gracias por la respuesta, No me funcionó debido a que los nombres de las variables no están seriadas, es decir, los nombres de las variables son del tipo: x23 x25 x30, x301 x320, x80. Entonces me da este error: Error in eval(predvars, data, env) : object 'pot24' not found. Debido a que pot24 no existe, ya que de pot23 se brinca a pot30. En Stata es algo muy simple de hacer, solo
