Unable to print to SAMBA+CUPS server from Win2k12 server
I'm stumped! From within CUPS, I'm able to successfully print test
pages.
From the Windows machine, I'm able to:
* Browse the Samba server's printers via SMB
* Add the Samba server's printers
* Write to the Samba server's print$ share
If I pause the printers via CUPS's interface, then Samba successfully
relays this information when I try printing a test page from the

smbd uses 10 to 15% CPU w/Vista client
For quite awhile I've noticed that smbd uses 10-15% of my CPU (Pentium
4) when nothing visible is going on. I have a couple of laptops on my
home network, and some experiments showing that powering on the Vista
laptop (other is OSX) is sufficient to raise useage from 0 to 10-15%.
The screen is locked, although 2 user accounts are logged in. Wireshark
seems to show a lot of chatter,

Printing Slow-down with Samba 3.5.1
Hello all,
We have a Windows 2003 Active Directory environment with a mixture of Windows 2000/2003 and Linux (CentOS 4/5) / Samba servers. The Samba versions on some of the Linux machines are getting a little old (3.0 and 3.2) and we are starting to introduce Windows 7 in our environment, so I thought now might be a good time to upgrade. On a fully patched CentOS 5 test machine I upgraded to

Security context stack overflow on Debian5+LDAP
Hi
I'm setting up a Samba PDC, with auth over Zimbra's LDAP, with this howto:
http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title=UNIX_and_Windows_Accounts_in_Zimbra_LDAP_and_Zimbra_Admin_UI_6.0
System is a fully updated Debian 5. All packages from distro. Samba is 3.2.5-4lenny6.
Now everything is almost ok, but I'm getting an error when trying to mount the samba share:

call_nt_transact_ioctl(0x90060): Currently not implemented
Hi,
We have a large (8 CPUs, 32GB RAM) x86 Sun server running x8664 Debian
Lenny, with Samba 2:3.2.5-4lenny6. It's a BDC and file server. I have
noticed various entries in the log files that I'd like to understand
better.
Some machines are generating this:
[2009/11/16 15:10:49, 0] smbd/nttrans.c:call_nt_transact_ioctl(2019)
call_nt_transact_ioctl(0x9005c): Currently not implemented.

Asterisk 13.1.0/PJSIP outbound calling using SIP trunk: Unable to create request with auth.No auth credentials for any realms in challenge.
George,
I have the detailed log below. (Resending after trimming the email to 40KB.)
The sequence below just repeats ad-nauseam. Is this a SIP trunk issue?
Thanks!

I don't see anything obvious. The registration works though, right?

Printing to a Windows shared printer from Linux: authentication problem
At my workplace, we have a Windows machine which is simultaneously a Print
Server and an Accounting Server. The network has got a Samba-LDAP PDC.
I want to configure Linux desktops to be able to print to the Windows server
(in other words, to a shared SMB printer). But since there is an accounting
server, the print job needs to carry SMB authentication credentials. So I
need the username/password

Peculiar situation while build httpd-2.2.6 from provided spec
Hi all,
While build a rpm from the httpd-2.2.6 sources (spec file included in
the source package), i had a situation where packaging would fail at the
step where several link are created for "logs" etc directories.

Thread safety in activerecord(?), connection lost to mysql server - simple code sample provided
Hello all,
I know that this issue has come up before, but I read all the previous posts
regarding thread safety and haven''t come up with a solution. I''m spawning
lots of threads in a backgroundrb worker that each do things with
activerecord models. I get the connection lost to mysql server exception
about 90% of the time, with my process working by sheer luck the other 10%.

getaddrinfo: nodename nor servname provided, or not known
Hi there,
If I want to create email within my application (in production), how
is this best achieved??
Following the railsspace tutorial, it only really suggests to
use :smtp.
I''d read on another site that to generate emails locally, i need to
use :sendmail instead... However - I havent seen any decent examples
of how to get this configured to be able to send emails within my

How to fetch a block provided by content_for in a helper?
Hi,
I got a title_tag helper that renders default page title or title
provided by content_for block, if such block is present. Currently I
call this method like this: "title_tag(yield(:title))". Is it possible
to fetch :title block inside the helper without explicitly passing it
as a parameter to this helper?

init script as provided http://wiki2.dovecot.org/DovecotInit
Hello list,
I would add:
# dovecot Startup script for the dovecot server
#
# chkconfig: -
# processname: dovecot
# config: /path/to/config
# pidfile: /path/to/pid
So that it supports the chkconfig used by RHEL and clones too.
Also, maybe it should be installed by the Makefile's install target? it
could then also set:
DAEMON=/path/to/dovecot/daemon
instead of:
