rsync/jscript/cygwin problem
I'm using a javascript program to execute rsync 2.5.6 compiled with cygwin on Windows XP Pro machines. These backup the user's "My Documents" folder to a Linux server running rsync 2.5.6 in daemon mode when the user logs in to XP and certain conditions are met (e.g. user hasn't backed up for a few days, user on the network etc). This works great except every now and then

setfacl fails for some user names and not others
Hi I'm currently using Samba 3.0.4 with LDAP as a PDC. The PDC is in a trusted relationship (both ways) with a Windows NT4 server. I tried updating to 3.0.7 a short while back but had problems using 'setfacl' to set permissions for users on the trusted domain - i.e. > setfacl -m u:remote-dom+jbloggs:r-x . setfacl: Option -m: Invalid argument near character 3 Setting

NT user name resolution to UNIX user name doesn't work the same
My departmental file server is on RHL6.2(i386) (Samba 2.0.6) and participates in the company's NT domain. If an NT user wants to see shares on this UNIX(Linux) box I have only to create a UNIX account for them where the UNIX username matches the NT username. I have a Solaris 8 box (Samba 2.2.2), I cannot figure out how to make it act the same way. I have looked at winbindd but that does noot

Roaming Profiles with Samba PDC
I have been working on this problem for quite some time now and have not been able to find the solution. I have Samba running on Debian Linux 3.0 (Woody) as a primary domain controller. From my Windows 2000 desktop I am able to browse that Linux server with Windows Explorer. My biggest problem is trying to log in to that domain. Under Windows 2000 I am able to join the domain (sjmlinux) but

Problems with Ad and Winbind
Hi folks, I'm using Samba 3beta running on RH 8.0 and I'd like to authentificate against a Microsoft AD. This all works very well, except to the fact that not ALL AD Users are mapped to my Unixbox! When starting getent passwd, my UnixBox shows just my User from passwd and some of the AD User - not all!! Looking through my User with the command wbinfo -u all AD users are shown correctly!

[LLVMdev] long double type on ARM
That is from 2.5, and just because there is nothing special listed in config.gcc does not mean it doesn't work. For 2.5, the ARM port of llvm-gcc did not require a separate llvm-arm.cpp source file, so nothing needed to be added to config.gcc. It worked fine as far as I know. For 2.6, you will see that there are some ARM-related changes to config.gcc in llvm-gcc. On Sep 30, 2009,
