HP-UX user resource and shared homedir
Hi, on HP-UX we want some users to have the same homedir. Homedir is managed by puppet as file resource. We now want to move the users to another primary group. useradd.sam complains: err: /User[XXX]/gid: change from 3 to 0 failed: Could not set gid on user[XXX]: Execution of ''/usr/sam/lbin/usermod.sam -F -g 0 XXX'' returned 45: Cannot modify user ''XXX'':

read.csv.sql() to select from a large csv file
Dear list,   Dear list, I am using read.csv.sql() from the sqldf package to read individual-based data from a csv file that is too large for R. My original file contains a column called “ID” that identifies the individual. I would like to read in data for only one individual at a time, for example "Bobby". read.csv.sql("filename",sql = 'select * from file where ID =

server push?
Has anyone done much work with server-side push and AJAX/J? (XML or JSON) As best I can tell, the ideal solution to this would be the multipart/x-mixed-replace MIME type. Mozilla''s XMLHttpRequest now has support for this, so this is on people''s minds, but how to make it work on the server end? You have to keep a connection open.....and a process on the server to go with it.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Linux support for compiler-rt's BlocksRuntime
I've reattached the patch to runtime.c, this time as output from svn instead of git. As the original git commit noted, it does the following: define OSAtomicCompareAndSwap(Long|Int) for non-Mac/Win32 systems if neither TARGET_OS_MAC or TARGET_OS_WINDOWS are defined, check to see if GCC atomic built-ins are available (and use them if they are). yours, Bobby On Sat, Sep 12, 2009 at 3:24 AM,

Function Value Not Being Overwritten?
Part of my problem is that I am in the middle of starting to use functions, so this was unexpected behavior for me.? Maybe there is a work-around because I like declaring some of the variables prior to using them.?? I have two separate files: # File: Test.R dog<-function(x) { ??? templeton<-NULL ??? source("Cat.R") ??? print(templeton) ??? print(x) ??? ??? print(bobby) } #

I added my user to a group last week, and now the user isn't in the group
Hello everyone, I added my user account to a group called "www-pub" for easier manipulations on web files on my server. And today I found that my account was not in the group "www-pub" any longer..... What I did to add my account to the group is like "sudo usermod -a -G www-pub myaccount". Is there anything wrong? Thanks for any suggestions. Sincerely, Xuwen

givenname and email address with smbldap-tools
Hi all, I have setup samba / openldap as describes by the idealx howto and as such I am using the smbldap-tools. However, I would like to add the givenname and email address fields for all users. What is the best way to do this? I would prefer continuing to use the smbldap-tools, but I cannot seem to find a good way to do this. When I try to: $ smbldap-usermod -M testuser@testdomain.net

What is your current version and configuration (output from `dovecot -n`) Anything interesting in the logs? Any idea which deliveries are causing this? Can you obtain an LMTP protocol log for such deliveries? Regards, Stephan. > On Fri, Sep 11, 2020 at 10:52

[Patch net] vsock: improve tap delivery accuracy
From: Cong Wang <cong.wang at bytedance.com> When virtqueue_add_sgs() fails, the skb is put back to send queue, we should not deliver the copy to tap device in this case. So we need to move virtio_transport_deliver_tap_pkt() down after all possible failures. Fixes: 82dfb540aeb2 ("VSOCK: Add virtio vsock vsockmon hooks") Cc: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha at redhat.com> Cc:

domain users in local groups with Winbind/Samba/Redhat
Hi, I am running a Samba 2.2.7a on Redhat 7.3 in a NT domain. For authentication I am using the domainusers. This is done by Winbind 2.2.7a which verifies the existens of the users on the PDC. So I dont't have to create local users (/etc/passwd) for users who want to connect to the shares in the smb.conf. I authorise them by adding valid users = domain+domainuser to the smb.conf. This works
