Station Lines
I am not sure if this is really possible but I figured I would ask anyway. I have a customer who wants an asterisk system. Currently they have a BizFon system. The feature that he really wants is to be able to pick up any line and have all the stations show up on his phone. Is this possible in asterisk? If so can someone point me in the right direction? Problems joining station in domain
Hi, Another strange situation occurs when I use the RSAT GPO tool in Windows 7. The following message appears: "RPC Server not available" Another situation is that I have created a GPO to allow helpdesk group only to add stations in the domain, but this GPO does not work. The permissions of the Sysvol folder look like this: ls -lah /var/lib/samba/sysvol/empresa.com.br/Policies/ total

Poor analog line quality, wireless "base station", FAX-ing
While pondering several issues, poor quality PSTN POTS lines, potential cost savings with multiple cell numbers, the FAX problems over TDM400p, etc, I wondered about: Cell phone "Base stations" to replace POTS lines. Devices to "cradle" cell phones and connect to TDM400p, for instance, to mimic PSTN. Are there such beasts, how do they play with asterisk? Will FAX work over

"User not authorized to connect from this station"
Hello, I'm running the newest version of Samba on an Irix 6.4 server. One of our NT clients is having a problem. When the user tries to access the server (Start-->Run-->"\\SERVER"), the username/password field comes up. When that user puts in his valid username/password, and error pops up that says "User not authorized to connect from this station." No valid

WINS problem ? Samba server not found by all workstations
Hi all, I have a small problem here with Samba (version 1.9.18p7, although I upgraded this morning to p8). The server is a Sun Solaris 2.6. The clients are all Windows NT (server & workstations). All the workstations are on a subnet, and the server on another subnet (so broadcast packets are not able to move from a station to the server), so I configured Samba as a WINS server, and all

Authorizing login per station
Hi, We're using Samba 2.2.2 as a PDC for W2k and XP clients. We have two types of users - "regular" users and "management". The problem I have is to allow only the "management" users to login from certain stations, and deny the login rights to regular users. That is, I need the ability do set per-station login permissions. Is there a way to do this using samba

Planning 48 Station Install, Need advice on several topics
I'm planning a new * system which will utilize 48 stations (Polycom Soundpoint 501s mostly) and a dual span PRI card and I have some questions. The system will host MeetMe conferences of 10-15 users on a regular basis and see fairly high usage as it is going into a medical setting. 1. I haven't built a system this big before, will a processor such as the Intel Pentium D 830 3.0GHz / 2MB

Failed to establish your Kerberos Ticket cache due time differences with the domain controller
Hai, I've reading this thread more closely. I suggest you try the followoing. Check the servers hardware clock in the bios first. Set these within 5 min, if they are not about the same. Run : dpkg-reconfigure tzdata Check/set the correct timezones on both servers, and both servers should show you the same date/time and (optional) zone. Run : ntpq -p Check the offset on both servers.
