[LLVMdev] LLVM-2.5 WinXP/Cygwin can't find puts() for the hello.c in GettingStarted document
Hi, Chuck
> How could I fix this WinXP/Cygwin only thing?
windows does not support dynamic linking, so there are 2 ways of
providing external addresses of symbols:
1. register them explicitly
2. They should be available from some .DLL already preloaded into the binary.
However, I'm not sure for 2. since cygwin uses unix-style of external
symbols resolution.

mouse button, chose properties->security.
And When I clicked on "add" button into Win 2000 server, I saw all my

Hi all... looking for some assistance with my first Samba setup.
The setup: On a small (five-computer, mixed Win2k and WinXP pro) LAN, I'd
like a share on my FreeBSD server to be available for storage. No printing,
no PDC, no individual user directories or password protection -- just a big
ol' slice of storage for everyone to access equally.
I've come close, (the share shows up

rsync-2.5.6 performance sucks between winXP and Solaris8
If I try to rsync OpenOffice-directory (OO as an example, 155 MBytes)
to Solaris8-machine/rsync-server it takes 4-5 minutes, about
70 MBytes gets transfered and eventually rsync.exe/winXP "dies"; actually
winXP's net doesn't responde anymore and I have to boot whole machine!
But when I try to do same between Linux and Solaris everything

the %a in smb.conf always gives back Win2k.
The profiles of win2k and winXP aren't compatible, so i can't just

WinXP + Samba: Explorer locking problem
I've the following problem using WinXP + Samba 2.2.7:
Whenever I use the Windows Explorer and roll the mouse pointer over a file (even without pressing the button), Windows locks that file (maybe to retrieve some more info?). This lock stays there for approx. 2-5 seconds ("watch smbstatus").
When I want to move or delete the file from Windows within this time, I consequently get a
