samba 3.6.0: cannot delete files on shares
Second try via NNTP: ;-) After updating samba to the new version 3.6.0 on my Linux systems at home and at work, I found the problem that I could not delete files on my shares. This did not occur on the home system, but only on the work system, so I looked for differences between the two. I found that the usage of non-encrypted passwords triggers the problem. CentOS6 - Stop NUX Skype auto-start with gnome desktop
How does one configure Skype/Gnome such that one can have Skype installed but not auto-start when the Gnome desktop opens? I have looked in the 'System/Preferences/Startup Applications' menu but Skype is not listed there. There are no options in the Application itself that allow this setting either. If there no other way then I will remove the application package and re-install when I

Nux VLC gives CLI only on CentOS-6.x

I install the nux repo vlc-core and vlc-extras. I then try to start it from a command line. I get +++++++ main interface error: no suitable interface module [0x1ae5108] main libvlc error: interface

UL/LI List helpers, or not?

sortable_element not recognizing newly added <li> elements
I have a user defined list of items. Using the sortable_element function, I can manipulate the ordering of this list fine by dragging each component around. When I dynamically add another <li> item to this list, the newly added item is _not_ "draggable" like its other siblings. Using the sortable_element function, how do I make it aware of newly added list items? Here is my
