tinc fails because of firewall script
Hi Tinc Mailing-Group,
I am a bit stuck with firewalling rules at the moment. Maybe someone
could please advise me a good rc.firewall script to use on my setup.
If anyone runs an ipchains firewall script on their linux box which is
ALSO running tinc, could they please mail it to me, for my perusal.
I have tinc pre3 set up and working on my systems, however I can only
get it to work if I set the

RPART - printing full splitting rule number on tree plot
Dear R-users
I am using RPART package to get regression trees. However having trouble getting the text function to put the full splitting rule number on the plot, instead to puts it in scientific notation. When a covariate has 1e4 or greater number of digits then the splitting rule number displayed on the plot is in scientific notation. But print.rpart displays the splitting rules in full.

Any help is appreciated as I’m somewhat clueless with computers 🙃

Hello,
We are trying to download and run your Icecast 2.4.4 programme. We’ve followed the instructions from the website and am up to where it says ‘once the configured file is modified, you should be able to start the server with the following command’.
We’re trying to put the command into the command prompt but it’s not letting us type in at all so we’re stuck and can’t go any further.

Aligning aerial photographs and maps
I have read in Paul Murrell's book R Graphics about how to use a bitmap
as background for a plot (page 107). Also, I routinely use function
read.shape() in package maptools to read maps in shapefile format. Now,
I would like to overlay an aerial photograph in .jpg format and a map. I
think I could do the alignment manually for each case, but wonder if
there is a better, automated way. I notice

Using an image background with graphics
I would like to use a map or aerial photo as a background to plotting
solid lines and text, and semi-transparent color contours, in base and
lattice graphics. Plot coordinates need to be consistent with the
georeferenced background. For example, a color contour plot would have
an gray-toned aerial photograph as a background for overprinted
semi-transparent color contours of some spatially

hypergeometric & population estimates
"help"
We want to estimate the number of caribou in Jasper. We recently conducted
an aerial survey and saw 70 uncollared caribou and 8 of 11 collared
caribou. We want to estimate the number of caribou in this population with
95% confidence limits. Gary White uses the hypergeometric distribution and
determines the population estimates using maximum likelihood and 95%CL as

epidemiology ode likelihood, hierarchical model
Hi all,
I study epidemiology of soilborne disease.
I have this ode model
dS/dt = - (rp(t) X + rs(t) I) * S
with X=1 ; rp(t) = ap exp( - bp*t) ;
rs(t) = as exp (-0.5 ( ln (t/ds) / bs)? )
The data I have are not directly the infected individuals (which is a
hidden state) but the Diseases ones (individuals who show aerial
symptoms). I have studied with experiments the relationship between
