[LLVMdev] alias analysis and functions
Hi,
I am trying to use alias analysis (Anderson) and noticed that for pointers to functions
I don't get the expected result: a pointer that clearly may point to a function is
reported as NoAlias.
I use -anders-aa -aa-eval -print-no-aliases -print-may-aliases -print-must-aliases
Here is a test case:
///////////////try_calls_aliases.c
#include <stdio.h>
typedef int (*PF)();

It's indeed broken. As a workaround, can you try to change Device to
/dev/tap10? You might have to run "kldload if_tap.ko" before starting
tinc.

Wine and NT Authentification core.
Hi,
I wonder if it's possible to setup wine so that applications using NT
Authentification (NTLM) (secur32.dll and security.dll) may work ?
I'm trying the radmin tools and the win32 computer that are using radmin
use the NT security protocol to allow login.
Actually i've tried using WINEDEBUG='warn+all' and WINEDEBUG='+loaddll'
to replace the core dll of windows

problem with authentification and winbind
Hi,
I want to use winbind for authentification. The samba server (solaris 2.6, samba version 2.2.4) is a member server in a W2K domain.
I followed the steps in the Solaris-Winbind-HOWTO.txt of Naag Mummaneni.
Joining the domain was successfull and wbinfo -t returnes secret is good.
wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g shows the domain users and groups.
But getent passwd and getent group only shows the

Can I set the proxy server and authentification from within R?
Hi,
I am using Tinn-R and somehow I cannot point it to
start a R shortcut with http_proxy settings including
authentification. It always shows the .exe.
Is there any way to set the proxy from within R or any
other ideas how to do it?
I am using R 2.4 for Windows.
Thanks a million,
Werner

Problem with authentification Samba 3.0.24
Dear listmembers,
a few weeks ago i've installed a server based on openSUSE 10.0 and Samba
3.0.20
in addition to two existing Windows 2003 servers. My aim is to replace the
Windows servers in medium term.
The Samba server uses Kerberos v5 to authentificate the users against the
W2003-Server. The W2003-Server ist the primary domain controller, the other
W2K3-server is the "backup domain

AW: authentification problems
Hi Tom,
meanwhile I'm using Samba 2.2.8a, and I don't have a real solution for the problem. I managed to reduce the occurance of the error by using "security = domain" and "password server = *". The problem occures only on about 6% of all clients (log level 1, max log size 300kB). So I decided to ignore these errors.
If a user complains about that (PW query pops up,

Authentification using Linux user/password
I am writing an in-house web application with RAILS and I want users to
log-in to the application before they can do anything. Since all users
already have an accont on the linux machine where the web application
will be running, I''d like to use these accounts for authentification.
Is there a way in Ruby/RAILS to authenticate a user/password pair
against the accounts defined on the
