Unix Extensions + ext3 quotas + df
Hi, Some time ago, I reported an issue (1) regarding to the "disk free" to Quotas mapping when Unix Extensions are enabled. The issue still persists in RHEL 5.3 (samba-3.0.33-3.7.el5). In the meanwhile I have found a workaround via the attached *ugly* patch, but an official solution would be appreciated. Best regards, Juanjo (1)

Hi, I'm trying to access a share on my work network using smbclient. We have an Windows Active Directory network. My client computer is running Solaris 10 u8. The computer hosting the share says it's running Acopia ARX(3.0.0b1) According to Active Directory (not familiar with this OS, i think it is a NAS) I run this command to get the Kerberos ticket. bash-3.00$ kinit jtmb at

ldbsearch returning NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
I have a Samba DC connected to two Windows 2008 R2 DC's. On the Samba machine, if I run `ldbsearch -H ldaps://*SAMBA-DC-IP* -U administrator` It asks for my password and then works great. I can use any domain user and this works. However, if I instead run: `ldbsearch -H ldaps://10.120.160.12 -k1 --krb5-ccache=/tmp/krb5cc_0` I get this: Failed to bind - LDAP client internal error:

Hello, since I upgraded my NT4 domain Samba 4.2.11 to 4.2.14 I can no longer authenticate when I access any share. After that I even upgraded to Samba 4.4.5 but still get the same error: [2016/10/15 04:42:19.786198, 2] ../source3/auth/auth.c:305(auth_check_ntlm_password) check_ntlm_password: authentication for user [xx] -> [xx] -> [xx] succeeded [2016/10/15 04:42:19.789933, 1]

Hello all. I?m trying to set up my debian vserver for connection with Outlook. I decided to go with * mysql (with auth data) * samba * openchange * SOGo and for Outlook connectivity I installed ocsmanager. As the last one isn?t included in debians repositories, I included the nightly repositories from inverse.ca<http://inverse.ca>. Those also offer a more recent samba

SASL DIGEST-MD5 NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Yeah, I'm trying to setup the Indentikey server on Windows instead so it uses the Windows API instead of LDAP rather than setup a Windows 2008 R2 domain controller for LDAP w/ SASL DIGEST-MD5 authentication. It seems silly for them to use DIGEST-MD5, but that's what I stuck with for now. If samba4 could support DIGEST-MD5 that would be great. Thanks, Arthur On 07/10/2015 03:29 PM,

SASL DIGEST-MD5 NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
That's too bad, I was trying to get the Vasco Identikey server working with samba4 as a backend for FIPS 140-2 compliant OTP, which will only bind with DIGEST-MD5. I guess I will have to join a Windows 2008 R2 to the domain as a domain controller. Newly joined DC - Failed to bind to uuid for ncacn_ip_tcp .. NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Following up on this post for the benefit of the archives, I don't want to be another DenverCoder9! [1] I believe I have fixed this issue now (although I am at a loss to explain how it occurred in the first place). Hopefully I correctly figured out what SPNs should be present against each machine - I'm not an expert in this area, but am describing the process I went through below in the

winbind: NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Hi, I'm running a linux RedHat 7.2 box with samba 2.2.4. I want to use winbind for authentification. The samba server is a member server in a W2K domain. I followed the steps in the winbind help which comes with the samba distribution (http://localhost:901/swat/help/winbind.html). Joining the domain was successfull: $ smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -r PDC -U toto | INFO: Debug class all level = 100

Samba 3.6.3 and NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
I see strange errors when samba client tries to shrink file to 0 bytes. Samba runs on Ubuntu 12.04, client also Ubuntu. Samba sits on top of POSIX file system (FUSE implementation). I can see truncate is called correctly and no error is returned from my implementation. Any ideas?
