Device Drivers in xen, looking also for a white book about how xen works exactly
Hello,
I'm reading an excellent documentation about virtualisation in embedded system.
(available on open kernel labs site)
I have read these things : (It talks about managing drivers in a virtualization system)
"A straight virtualization approach can accomodate this by running the device the device driver inside the VMM. This requires porting all drivers to the hypervisor

'Dynamic' 3D plot
Hi,
I am looking for a R package to draw 3d plot. But not in a static way like scatterplot3d or stuff like that. I would like to make rotate the plot, to zoom/unzoom etc..., actually to render the graph 'dynamic'... (for the biologist and bioinformatician, a R package which permitts to reproduce what pdb viewer does).
Does a Way exist to do something like that in R ?
Thanks,

REofRE: password change on the domain password server using clienttools
Hi Lieven
Thanks for advise !
the
getent passwd
command shows me all the users of the 2k domain in this format :
DOMAIN2K+user:x:10000:10026::/home/NetBiosName/user:/bin/bash
I think that's correct. But do you think I got to use nss pam or something
like that ?
I just can't login with a 2000 user on Samba, but guests (unknown users )
can, when I permit them to. So I think users are

is dovecot vulnerable to this kind of attack?
I found an interesting email that got caught in my spam quarantine. I?m wondering if dovecot is vulnerable to this kind of code execution (I?m aware that other components could be vulnerable, but this question is specifically targeting dovecot).
The idea is to insert shell commands into various header fields that would get executed as part of the message processing/delivery.
Examples include:

Function for ddply
Hello, all. I'm new to R and just beginning to learn to write functions. I
know I'm out of my depth posting here, and I'm sure my issue is mundane.
But here goes. I'm analyzing the American National Election Study (nes),
looking at mean values of a numeric dep_var (environ.therm) across values
of a factor (partyid3). I use ddply from plyr and wtd.mean from Hmisc. The
nes requires a

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
I'm having trouble getting the echo canceller to work and I'm hoping some one can get me started in diagnosing what's going on. The symptoms I'm seeing are these:
1. If the NES is silence (i.e., no echo, no speech), the ec puts the FES back into the audio.
2. If the NES is similar to the FES (same speech words), the ec doesn't seem to remove the echo.
3. For case #2, I pushed

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Jean-Marc,
That was my first thought as well. However, I double checked everything and it wasn't reversed. I also reversed it to see what would happen. In that case, the NES came out unchanged. (This NES was the original FES.)
Any other ideas? Also, do you know what algorithm is used?

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Jean-Marc,
BTW, the problem #1 is not unique to the speex echo canceller. It has also occurred on other ec's I've tried, most recently the CANEC ec from dspalgorithms.com.

Dear Group,
I have a data frame like the following:

Verifying lm results
Greetings.
I'm planning to make a point in a meeting tomorrow and want to make sure
I've got my ducks in a row.
I've got four distinct vectors: years, fec, gss, and nes. Years is simply
seq(1972,1996,by=4), and the other three are measures of voter
participation in US elections in those years. fec is the Federal Election
Commission's numbers, gss and nes are the General Social

outlier detection test for large data set
Hello,
Which outlier detection test is robust for large dataset ?
I think the detection test in the package 'outliers' are suitable for small data set (between 3 and 100).
Do you know one for 20000 or more values ?
Thanks,
- Martial

vectorizing a double loop
Hello,
I have to build a function that takes a time serie and calculate the momentum. For each date of the serie, I have to build a loop to calculate it using the last few data.
My problem is that it takes one minute to compute and I need to run this function very often.
I would like to vectorize it, as much as possible.
Can somebody help me? I have read the

Algunos casos
que tengo resuelto con R
