Miredo 1.1.5
I found a src.rpm for 1.1.5-1 for fc8 (not rh8!). I was able to rebuild
it on my Centos build system.
The rpms are identified as 1.1.5-1.i386.rpm, no el5 or other
identification was placed in the files. I don't see how to control this
when you rebuild from an existing src.rpm. Interestingly the fc8
designation was lost.
I also rebuild it on my fc10 system. It worked, and the rpms have

Problem with blocking workers
Hi Folks,
I found this thread
http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/backgroundrb-devel/2007-March/000790.html
on this mailing list that describes pretty much the same behaviour that I
experience as well.
My problem is, that I have no chance for putting a "sleep 0" in an
iteration because I have no Iteration.
What I?m doing is executing a stored procedure in a sybase db that could

Bug#632471: logcheck-database: spamd child cleanup message broken after upgrade to squeeze
Package: logcheck-database
Version: 1.3.13
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
After upgrading to debian squeeze I get several messages a day in the form of:

This is due to an update in spamd, that makes the message more detailed (includes exit code)[1]. Therefore messages including exit code 0

problem with kerberos (I think)
Hi all,
I've got some problems to make work oVirt.
I've installed a Fedora 10 VM the lightest possible (nothing checked, even based) and installed after some packages (wget, sudo, acpid,...) and updated the system.
By the way, acpid should be a dependency of ovirt-installer because the installation fails if it's not available.
I've then installed ovirt (ovirt-server-installer

new kernel on Fedora 10 domU
Hi,
I installed Fedora 10 as domU on CentOS 5.3. I need new 2.6.25.14 kernel
under domU (in order to patch it for MPLS protocol). I followed advice on
http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/Kernel.org_Linux_on_Xen, and compiled
kernel with XEN options enabled under domU. I got all relevant packages in
/boot and /lib/modules, but when I try to boot virtual machine I got this

pine 4.64 with CentOS with LDAP
Hello
pine 4.64 on CentOS 5
I have successfully compiled 4.64 with SSL and it works fine.
However, I like to add LDAP feature.
I am having trouble with compiling it with LDAP.
I built the latest stable openldap-2.3.38
I did include this when I built openldap:
./configure --with-cyrus-sasl
Compile process gives me these errors below.
Any clue as what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Farid

ACL ignored on cifs mounted share
Hello,
I have the problem that the ACLs are ignored when I mount a share via
cifs. I have an AD with Samba 4.1.6 Ubuntu 14.04 (but I also tried it
with Gentoo and samba 4.1.14). So I joined a member server like the wiki
describes. Everything works fine. I can manage the users and permissions
with the RSAT tools. For the linux side I use rfc2307 and winbind on the
member. So every user and

sgid bit set on ordinary files mounted via smbfs
Hi, I find that files (not directories) in an smbfs-mounted share always
have the sgid bit set. I've looked in the FAQ and HOWTO but didn't see
anything. I wonder if someone might suggest a way to fix it.
The share is served from Windows 2003 SP2 and mounted on a Fedora 10 Linux
machine (samba-client-3.2.5-0.23.fc10.i386) with this command line:
mount //wcl-fp1/shared /mnt/shared -t

Winbind+ldap = core dump
Hi,
I use samba 3.0.26a on fedora 8 as a fileserver for a win 2k3 domain. This
has worked fine for about 2 months without any problems. However I came to
the server 3 days ago and the harddrive was 100% full. On checking I found
60gb of core dumps in the winbind folder. I did a lot of searching and
couldnt find anything relevent for this release. I tried upgrading samba to

compiling libldap error??
Samba experts,
Ok, we are having so many problems getting ldap to work, we decided to
start over with our compile. We are compiling Samba --with-ldap on our AIX
5.1 system which uses gcc. Openldap (for client support) exists in
/usr/local/openldap/2.2.17. In order for Samba to find the ldap.h file,
we had to configure with
CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/openldap/2.2.17/include"

RE: [SLE] SuSE 9.3 and Latest Binaries - Library Conflict
Cross-posting scares me, but...
Have you looked at the latest RPMs for SuSE, from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/samba/ ?
They've worked like a charm for me, thus far (revision after revision, a simple rpm -U * seems to work...)

Samba-LDAP TLS problems with inofficial Debian OpenLDAP 2.2 packages
Dear Torsten, dear samba list reader
Three days ago I switched our domain from a NT 4 domaincontroller to
Samba-OpenLDAP, controlled by a Debian Sarge system. I installed the
following inofficial Debian OpenLDAP 2.2 packages (I know these are not
supported, but TLS with OpenSSL is essential to us...):
Package: slapd
Version: 2.2.20-1.hrz.1
Package: libldap2.2
Version: 2.2.20-1.hrz.1

SuSE 9.3 and Latest Binaries - Library Conflict
Mates,
Still can't get the latest samba binaries to inatall on SuSE 9.3. I've
downloaded them from the samba site and from
ftp://ftp.primastasys.com/pub/Samba-Packages/ still no joy. The problem is
library related:
