wpkg for Samba
Hello List, This is very much so Samba related but I'm sure there are several people here this would relate to. wpkg is a nice add on to Samba that allows you to mass install Windows software to Windows clients machines as they log onto a Samba server. Today's offerings. I have made a simple binary rpm that installs all of the needed files for both server and client. Thought this may

Hello List, Getting ready to setup a new dovecot sendmail squirrelmail server for our school which is currently running on a 4 year old install of the same, which has worked like a champ by the way. --------------------- EL5 dovecot-1.1 rc10 rpm sendmail squirrelmail --------------------- Problem: I can not get my dovecot 1.1 rc10(rpm) to generate an maildirsize file in each of the users

winbind separator oddity
Hello All, Samba 3.024 EL5 install ---------------------------------------- This will seem like an odd one to all I am sure. I will explain. This machine is used solely for our school's file server, home folders server. All aspects works great and have been using Vista clients on it for going on three years. Vista was a bit of a learning curve at the time getting all the behind the scene

samba-vscan-clamav -realtime file scanning on Samba server
Hello List, I posted on the K12LTSP wiki an howto on how to setup samba-vscan-clamav on a Samba file server. This maybe should be on the samba wiki, but I think it would apply to most folks here using K12LTSP, as well. It takes about 15 minutes to setup and have working. I did post a link to download a precompiled module for this that will work on Samba-3.0.23c which shipped with K12LTSP EL5.it

samba-vscan-clamav on access virus scanner for Samba
Hello Listers, Don't know what everyone is using for virus scanning on your school's windersz boxes. Just thought this may be of interest to some people here. I set up a few weeks ago, on our Samba file server for all students and staff at school samba-vscan-clamav. I guess i shouldn't blow about it yet, but with quite a bit of testing by yours truly, this really works slick as a real

samba and vista workstation logins
Helli All, I am trying to get our Samba "homes" file server to work with Vista workstation logins. The following is what I am getting ONLY on Vista workstations in the samba.log. ( XP & 2000 machines do not get this.) I did add the [profiles.V2} copy = profiles Hoping this might be the fix. Still no joy. I can paste my smb.conf if any thinks it would help. Bottom line is my smb.conf

Another CentOS 5 oddity: reboot and the X server fails to come up
I had to reboot my work machine today, and it came up in text mode (!). I did an init 5, but that had no effect (wrong command?). I killed the three gdm processes, and voila, X server mode. Where do I look to find out what is not right here? Thanks. -- Mark Hull-Richter, Linux Kernel Engineer DATAllegro (www.datallegro.com) 85 Enterprise, Second Floor, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 949-680-3082 -

Looking for ntop alternative
Hi, Can anyone please recomment an ntop alternative for me, which is more stable as well? I need to monitor all connections to and from a CentOS 5 server and ntop does it fairly well, but seems to crash at random times, and thus looses all the date prior to the crash. Cacti / MRTG only gives complete bandwidth usage on the given interface, but I need to know how much bandwidth goes where, and

Content-Enconding
Hi, With Apache one may use "mod_deflate" in order to reduce bandwidth by using e.g. gzip to compress the http traffic. I would like to use something similar for email traffic between mail clients to dovecote and postfix. My questions are: a) Is this established well enough in most mail clients? b) Can you recomment a good tutorial for this? Thank you very much

Content-Enconding
Thank you for your quick feedback. I added it to my plugins in the config. How can I make sure my mailclients are using it? Is there a way to check this like I can check headers with additional Firefox plug-in you may recomment? Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 T1 channel bank no w Alcatel
In the 'me too' vein, I also have an untested 3624 here on the shelf and am waiting on a shipment of T100 cards to play with. Documentation is very hard to come by. Alcatel are certainly the owners of the Mainstreet product line but, without a support contract, any documentation they may have is essentially unavailable as their per-incident fees for support cost more than most of the

Too long to open a socket connection
Hello Guys! I've been doing data aquisition of a pressure measurement system that communicates using TCP/IP protocol. R's socket connection has been a blessing for aquiring this data. I've been doing this data aquisition on Linux (where I do most of the development) and Windows. It works fine on both systems but there is only a slight problem (not really a problem, something weird).

There is also the LivePhysReg facility that I would recomment if you just want to query for a free register and do not need the full feature set of the RegisterScavenger. - Matthias > On Jan 19, 2017, at 5:50 AM, Nemanja Ivanovic via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > > I believe what you're after is the register scavenger. > It's in:
