Samba4 problem with Wndows Domain Trust
Hi Gaiseric, I have tried that, also in different variations. But the users and groups of DOMAIN_B keep invisible. Below the smb.conf in the meantime state. By the way: kinit works with both, users aof DOM_A and Users of DOM_B. [global] workgroup = DOM_A server string = Samba %v log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 50 password server = *

Signing problem with trusted domain in 3.2.0
Hello I seem to be having signing problems with 3.2.0 I have 2 PDCs on 2 different sites (say A and B) both running 3.2.0, with the line server signing = auto in smb.conf. There is a one way trust (B trusting A) setup. While everything works correctly on both sites for local machines access to local shares (a site A user logged on a site A machine can perfectly access shares of site A PDC). The

Trustom not working after upgrade to 3.3.0
Hello, I was running 3.2.4 successfully with trustdom relationship (one way only) working perfectly. I'm trying now to upgrade to 3.3.0, but the relationship seems to be down now. Revoking and re establishing did not help. I had the same issue while trying to update to 3.2.6 By checking the logs, it seems that trusting domain PDC is not sending the correct password to trusted domain PDC

Re: Trusting and trusted domain (home mapping) problem
Hi Igor, Once again, thanks for keeping up with me. I have been migrating my master ldap server to 2.1 version so to keep it the same with the PDCs version of LDAP. Now they are the same. I have rectified such that "wbinfo -u" on both sides worked now. I am made "net rpc trustdom list" worked. It was not working before. I had to put "stuadmin = root" in the

Re: Trusting and Trusted Domain Samba LDAP (mapping Home Directories)Problem
Hi Igor, I am no samba expert. Reading your email produce 2 thots. 1. If I have not read wrongly, you DID NOT managed to reproduce my scenario cos when you joined Domain A , login as user of DomB , you got the expected result, the Domain B's sambahomepath and drive gets map to the user B. Mine result was this: I joined Domain A, login as user of Dom B, I did NOT get Domain B's

Samba3 Trust Relationships?
Hey all, After setting up a migration server (a server which will act as a test for a Samba 3.x environment), so we can make sure our migration from Samba 2.2.x to 3.x goes as smoothly as possible, I've hit upon a problem, now I am not sure whether this is the fault of Samba (my configuration) or NT4 or whether this is infact designed behaviour for both/either servers. I'd like to

Rails Bug when loading required files for API?
Hello, I have seen some odd behaviour of my Web Services code plus some ''similar'' postings to this list, so I believe this may be a bug in Rails. But I''m failry new to RoR, so maybe I''m doing something wrong. I''ll explain: I have a WS API defined, communicating with a remote system that expects a stucture: When defined like this (all

FW: [Mongrel] Broken win32 service support for lastest mongrels.
Hi all, I''ve forwarded this from the Mongrel mailing list to see if anyone has any thoughts. In summary, Luis is hitting broken pipe errors on occasion when he tries to stop a service. In a later email Luis mentions that simply ignoring them might not always be the best idea, since sometimes the service seems to no longer respond, even though it still appears to be running fine. Connecting two LANs over a slow link
Hi, I'm having some trouble connecting the SMB networks on two LANs that are connected over a "slow" (DSL) link: Network B: 172.16.0.0/24 Domain B: office Network A: 172.16.1.0/24 Domain A: home gate.office and gate.home are the respective networks' NAT gateways connecting to the internet over ADSL lines. The private IP spaces are connected to each other via an ipsec tunnel

Passing a period as part of an id in show action
I am trying to do the following in a RESTful manner: I have a web service that accepts an id to deliver a particular record. Unfortunately, the id that the client will have is not the usual database sequence number. This mostly works, though, and the url looks something like: http://myservice.com/controller/the_id.xml That is handled by the "show" action. Unfortunately, some of

Trust Relationships using Samba
Like many, I administer multiple LANs connected together using NT trust relationships. This was implemented about 4 years ago. I now have the occasion to consider performing this same task again, but this time, I would like to implement it solely through samba - no Microsoft PDCs anywhere. I have read documentation on samba.org regarding NT-style trust relationships and am now wondering, can I

[Feature Request] Add (and check against) IP to known_hosts even when domain is used to connect
Hello Bob and thank you for your reply, first of all I hope that I'm answering in the right way since I had enabled the daily digest and I'm not sure if it's the right way to use Thunderbirds "Reply List" feature on this digest. If it's wrong this way I apologize. I turned of the daily digest so my next messages should be correct. > Are you aware of HostKeyAlias?

Interdomain trust with different WINS servers
Hi I am trying to stablish a relation between two different Samba domains. Each domain has two PDCs, all they are WINS servers, and the two domains are in different subnets. They are configured to use LDAP as the user/group/machine database. First, I will create the relation, being DOM1.CORP the trusted domain, and DOM2.CORP the trusting domain, so in a server of DOM1.CORP, I create a user this

Issues with win32-service Daemon
Hi all, I wrote a little echo client to run as a service. I have a couple of problems with this. First, any time I try to define anything in "initialize", the service fails to start. Any idea why? Also, this service runs for a while, then just quits for no reason that I can see. The Event Log merely says, "The Abba service terminated unexpectedly". Any ideas on

Hi Asterisk-ians! Need all of your help. I am stuck with this issue for last few days. I have one X100P installed in my system. My Asterisk is registered with another Asterisk Server/SIP provider as client and the call is successfully received by my Asterisk server (named as starwars). Now, the extentions.conf file states, the incoming INTO * should go out to fxo as below: exten =>
