All of the PC's are Windows Vista Business. I have successfully added a PC to the domain. I have successfully created a network user and logged on to the PC. However, the Samba log is throwing errors and I have a

I'm using security = user and I can confirm that the share is working with Win8. Could you check my conf & the error and share me your

I have a ancient samba 3 (Server role: ROLE_DOMAIN_PDC) and I intend to migrate all files to a samba 4 (Server role: ROLE_DOMAIN_MEMBER) Users will stay in S3 for now. Samba 4 joined samba 3 with no problems. I rsync'ed all files and its permissions (rsync -a ...). But... I cannot find a way that makes S4 sees S3 users and groups

Technical problems with samba 3.5.11 and access 97 .mdb
Hello everybody, I'm having trouble with samba 3.5.11 and an access 97 database. I work in a business with 5 users that use a mdb database over samba, and for the first to make a query everything works fine, but if some other user tries to make a query when the first one is doing it, the database works really slow, like if the .mdb file is being blocked (that's what I suppose). Phantom sharename
smbclient reports there is a sharename 'l' that points to /usr/local/Documents on the host, but there is no reference to it in the smb.conf file. I have puzzled over this for days - I must have missed something obvious. Here is the output from smbclient, followed by the smb.conf file with all the comments removed. napoleon 526 ~ $ smbclient -L localhost Enter mike's password:
