tcl/tk bind destroy event
Hello! I want to create a messagebox whenever the user wants to destroy the window (e.g. <Alt-F4> or the 'x' in the right top corner) and ask if a modified file should be saved or not. If 'cancel' is chosen then nothing should happen and the windows still should be existing. This doesn't work. When I press cancel the window will be destroyed although. I also

feature request & patch submit: chroot(2) in sshd
Hello, whereas most people take passwd/shadow/ldap/<whatever> as the place where decision on a chrooted environment / sandbox for certain users is met (just set the given usershell appropriateley), I needed a somewhat different approach. Below is a tiny patch to 2.2.0p1 which enhances the sshd-config by two options and, when set, places all users / users of a certain group immediately in

Multiple errors on puppet client runs: "A section with name updates already exists"
Hello, I''m currently running Puppet 0.25.5-1 on CentOS 5.5. Everything has been going swimmingly until a couple of weeks ago, when I began receiving errors on one of my nodes. The node in question is also my puppetmaster, but the errors seem client-related. The errors are: err: //yumrepos::centosbase/Yumrepo[addons]: Failed to retrieve current state of resource: A section with name

How to call stored procedure on iodbc
Hi all, I am getting a problem in calling Stored Procedure from C++ application on macintosh using OpenLink. Exact scenario is that my stored procedure takes 6 parameters out of which 1 parameter is out parameter and other 5 are input parameters. So it uses 5 IN parameters as values for inserting a row in database and returns its max id as out parameter. Code Snippet is given below :--

vpopmail
Hello list, I run Dovecot with the vpopmail driver and have found that it authenticates against the clear text password in the vpopmail database. Is there a configuration option either at compile time, link time, or a setting in one of the configuration files that tells the program to authenticate against the hash instead of the clear text? -- Eric Broch White Horse Technical Consulting

Headsup on feature removal
So I am on of the many users with qmail, and using vpopmail auth, I guess chatting with some other guys in the other mailing list we will convert to mysql driver but this is a lot of work for many people. I do understand dropping things out but a valid solutions needs to be proposed. Remo > On Mar 18, 2020, at 06:49, Michael Peddemors <michael at linuxmagic.com> wrote: > >

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Does LLVM optimize recursive call?
Hello David Chisnall, John McCall, David Blaikie and other people who may concern > If your teachers are really making this sort of superficial generalization, > they're doing you a disservice. This hit my head. Actually I didn't test the performance of those two, the iteration and the recursion, at all. And in this field of study, testing is very much important, I believe. And

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Does LLVM optimize recursive call?

I completely agree with John here - we had a case a few years ago where someone spent ages refactoring their algorithm to be iterative and was surprised that it became slower (with the MS compiler). Looking at the assembly, it was

[PATCH] Add a chroot_users option to sshd
This patch adds a new option to sshd, chroot_users. It has the effect of chroot()ing incoming ssh users to their home directory. Note: this option does not work if UsePrivilegeSeparation is enabled. question about smbmount as user
Hi, It has been a while since I used samba so for all purposes I could be seen as a newbie. Recently I installed samba and ran into a problem mounting shares as a user. I can work around this, no problem, but I'm curious about the *why*. Searching the mailing list (and other resources) did not reveal this problem, that's why I ask here. llvm::sys::path::home_directory() implementation for unix
I recently was using llvm code from a process that I manually spawned as a child process and noticed that llvm::sys::path::home_directory() only works if "HOME" is set in the process environment: bool home_directory(SmallVectorImpl<char> &result) { if (char *RequestedDir = getenv("HOME")) { result.clear(); result.append(RequestedDir, RequestedDir +

tcltk freezing using MS Windows for R-2.14+
I am the maintainer of a Bioconductor package (affylmGUI) which uses tcltk. It freezes inconsistently on MS Windows, but not Mac or Unix. see details below. After considerable testing I have reduced the problem from a few thousand lines of code to 30 lines! If you paste the following lines of code into an R window: testGUI <- function(){ require(tcltk) MainWindow <-

Chroot patch (v3.4p1)
The following is a patch I've been working on to support a "ChrootUser" option in the sshd_config file. I was looking for a way to offer sftp access and at the same time restict interactive shell access. This patch is a necessary first step (IMO). It applies clean with 'patch -l'. Also attached is a shell script that helps to build a chrooted home dir on a RedHat 7.2
