similar to: ldap clarification

I am trying to change the localSID for a SAMBA server, however I am unable to. I have tried the command "net setlocalsid" to no avail. To troubleshoot I have also stopped the smbd and nmbd services, but this did not help. Hello, I just tried to migrate an old samba-server (PDC with tdb) to new hardware. Old samba : 3.02 New samba : 3.2711.. (according to webmin) What I did : I copied smb.conf from old to new.
