Squid/ntlm_auth issues with two user accounts (all other accounts on the domain work).
Hi all,
I have just installed and configured a squid setup authenticating
against Active Directory using kerberos tickets and have achieved the
holy-grail of IT - Single Sign On!
The problem is that I have two users for whom is does not work.
The ntlm_auth logs show that for users that are properly authenticated
against squid we get the following (Usernames/Domains/Hosts have been

You can't use DIGEST-MD5 if you have hashed passwords (using other than DIGEST-MD5 scheme).

Can you turn on

and then see what happens?

Yes, we support DIGEST-MD5, but the password is correct: If I restart
the service, they can login immediately.

I have certain power users who can't login through POP3 or IMAP from
their computer while being receiving mail on their cell phones (pop3),
despite pop3_lock_session = no
Am I hitting some other limit? I don't see any error in dovecot.log

Dear CentOS members,
Does someone know how to resolve this package conflict, it is creating
security issues with freeipa dependencies.

problem upgrading 3.0.23->3.0.26
I'm trying to upgrade and old server from the 3.0.23 to the 3.0.26
version (suse93->suse103)
(for brevity, abbreviating 3.0.23->.23, and 3.0.26->.26)
It's not working as smoothly as I had hoped...and was wondering if
anyone has seen similar behavior or if I have some "gotcha" that I
haven't kept up on (quite possible, since I move my

Numbers that look equal, should be equal, but if() doesn't see as equal (repost with code included)
Hi!
Apologies for sending the mail without any code. Apparently somewhere along
the way the .R attachments got filtered out. I have included the code below
as clean as possible. My original mail is below the code.
Thank you again for your time.

R-beta: save.plot and piecharts
Hi all,
I am not sure if someone else noticed this as well, but the combination of
piechart plots and save.plot does not work correctly. The labels and
tickmarks are plotted OK, but the piechart itself is placed somewhere else
in the figure (when using colors) or not visible at all (if not filled).
The combination with postscript("...") works, though.
Two small thingies concerning pie

R-beta: Private libraries
This must be a simple question but I could not find anything under the
FAQ... so here goes.
I am currently working on a (quite specific) set of functions I would like
to place in a library. But: I'd like to keep this separate from the R source
and CRAN libraries. Is there a global variable so that R searches also other
directories for sources when installing libraries? BTW, this can also be

R-beta: help in rsept
Is it possible to get information on libraries or data sets in R
for windows? E.g. under Unix I would type ?library(whatever)...
I have made some simple functions for teaching and spent hours writing
the documentation for my students who now may not even be able to
read it... aarghh
Apologies if this is a FAQ, couldn't find anything on it in the
archives.

ISDN channels
Hi friends,
I'm testing a E400P with PRI signaling. When I start asterisk (-vvc), i get the fowlling messages in /var/log/asterisk/message:

Réf. : image legend
I would also be very much interested in having the image.legend function in R.
The Splus image.legend uses the subplot function, which doesn't seem to be
available in R, so one can't copy the Splus function to R (otherwise it would
probably have been done already).
I greatly appreciate the flexibility of the Splus image.legend function since it
allow you to put the legend where

subset(..., drop=TRUE) doesn't seem to work.
Hello!
If I read ?subset, the workings of the argument drop (to me) seem to imply
equivalence of A and B (R 1.9.0):

dd <- subset(dd, c==1)
dd$c <- dd$c[, drop=TRUE]

Clustering with Mahalanobis Distance
Dear R ExpeRts,
I'm having memory difficulties using mahalanobis distance to trying to cluster in R. I was wondering if anyone has done it with a matrix of 6525x17 (or something similar to that size). I have a matrix of 6525 genes and 17 samples. I have my R memory increased to the max and am still getting "cannot allocate vector of size" errors. My matrix "x" is
