[PATCH 0/16] lguest: introduce vcpu structure
this patch makes room for the vcpu structure in lguest, already used in
this very same way at lguest64. It's the first part of our plan to
have lguest and lguest64 unified too.
When two dogs hang out, you don't have new puppies right in the other day.
Some time has to be elapsed. They have to grow first. In this same spirit, having these
patches _do not_ mean smp guests can be launched

Intermittent logon failures
Samba 1.9.17p2 running on SPARC 4 Solaris 2.5.
Windows 95 clients.
For some time now I have been hearing reports of users not
being able to logon to the domain--but I've never seen it
happen myself, and I never do anything to fix it. It's
just this annoying problem that doesn't happen often enough
for me to ever see or track down.
Today, FINALLY, I tried logging into a machine and

Bash/perl: how to know if a samba directory is mounted?
Hi,
I am writing an Perl application that automatically mounts a samba directory.
But I would like to know if that directory is already mounted by samba
(i.e. in multiple logins, that directory could be mounted only on the
first login) ?

codepage-conversion for smbclient
Hi list,
I've browsed through the archives, but I didn't find a answer for
this:
I use smbclient to access a windowsNT 4.0 server.
I get only '?' for filenames which contains Umlauts.
F.e., a file called "Verkn?pfung" is displayed as "Verkn?pfung".
I use following mount-string:
mount.smbfs //SERVER/Share /home/xxx -o rw noexec nosuid nodev user

RFC: "REQUIRES: no*" considered harmful
Dear test fans,
Recently a couple of cases came to light, where a test had the line
REQUIRES: nowindows
with the obvious expectation that it would be disabled, but only for
the Windows platform. Sadly, this is not true; the "no" prefix means
nothing to Lit. I've already fixed one test, within Lit's own test
suite, and I've done a bunch of grepping to see what else is

Hungarian codepage problem using smbmount
Dear Samba Developers, Dear Urban,
This was my original letter. I hope you get it correctly this time.
Maybe it was too big, now I reduced the size of this letter.
My goal is to make a Linux fileserver up and running with automatic
archiving functionality in a mixed Windows 2000 - Linux network and
since the beginning of February I could not solve my problem, so I
write to you hoping that you

mounting CDROM without mapaping UC to LC
Hi!
this is surely a newbie question, so I should know the answer, but
I'm fighting with mounting a CD such that filenames are NOT mapped to
lowercase (I need to use its on-board tools for accessing files on it
while mounted on Centos 6.5, and those tools assume uppercawse, since
they assume the entire world runs Windoze.)
but despite my best efforts, it keeps being mounted with UC-LC

smbmount: mount option "noauto" causes codepage and/or iocharset to fail
I've been trying several times now:
# mount -t smbfs -o credentials=/etc/samba/private/credentials,codepage=cp850,iocharset=iso8859-1,noauto //machine/share\$ /mnt/share
Causes:
# ls /mnt/share/directory
Sp?rsm?l.txt
While this:
# mount -t smbfs -o credentials=/etc/samba/private/credentials,codepage=cp850,iocharset=iso8859-1 //machine/share\$ /mnt/share
Causes:
# ls /mnt/share/directory

Russian CHARS
Hello samba,
How can mount (smbmount) MSWIN2003 resource from Linux client
(RHEL4U2) to see russian.
I am using following command:
# smbmount //srv2/v$ /mnt/backup/srv2 -o 'credentials=userpass,iocharset=KOI8-R,codepage=koi8r'
What I should use env. variables or additional parameters from this
command (smbmount) ?
I see only that (but need russian and eng):

Accents in filenames on vfat filesystem
Hello.
I am trying to create a text file that contains an accent like '?' in it's
filename on a vfat filesystem. This generates an error like the following:
"test?.txt" E212: Can't open file for writing
I have made a 'modprobe nls_cp850' and 'modprobe nls_iso8859-1' to load
those needed modules.
Then I mounted my FAT32 partition like this:
mount -t

A x86_64 processor can not run a x86_64 HVM
I own an Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+. I enabled SVM extensions on BIOS. I did a power cycle.
xm dmesg shows me:

(XEN) HVM: SVM enabled
I run a 64 bit Xen kernel (OpenSuse 11). Xen version is 3.2.1_16881_04-8.6
I _can not_ run any x86_64 O.S on a HVM domU, because it appears something like this: "your cpu does not support long mode. use a 32bit

Mount share in Ubuntu
I have a samba server with three shares.
I would like to permanently mount one of these shares in a Ubuntu
server. I have read the following guide:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MountWindowsSharesPermanently#Mount_password_protected_network_folders
This guide states that I need to amend fstab and then use "mount -a"
I have included the following in fstab:

Cross-compiling speex
Hi all,
I'm cross-compiling speex for a GNU/Linux ARM target.
I want to compile only the libraries, and not the speex executables.
I don't have a libogg cross-compiled, and would prefer the need to
have to set it up.
Unfortunately:
1/ the speex executables depend on libogg header files,
although, the speex executables are only compiled if the libogg header
files are available
2/ the
