Is the below output as expected? I'm I correct thinking that as all my groups originate in the Unix world, I don't need winbind to allow the Workstations to see them? For what

Samba PDC with groups in LDAP
Hi All, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I'm having. I have a samba PDC with an LDAP backend, keeping the smb.conf file constant, When I have /etc/nsswitch.conf configured with groups: files ldap Then /usr/local/samba/bin/net rpc user info dbb only returns my primary group. If I have /etc/nsswitch.conf configured with groups: files nis Then all

Samba LDAP PDC Admin and other minor problems.
So I've got my PDC LDAP up and running and replicating over to the slave BDC, and I'm just trying to fix some minor problems. I've added my self to the "Domain Admins" group but I still can't open the windows usrmgr program with my account. I even set it up so my default group is "Domain Admins" I can open it with the administrator account, but I

R 4.0 for ARM processors
Dear R-SIG-Debian folks, I seem to be chasing my tail, despite having a simple goal: - Install R 4.0.2 - On Ubuntu 20.04 - For an ARM processor (not Intel/AMD). Can someone please suggest a Debian/Ubuntu repository of the required packages (e.g., r-base-core) built for ARM? I can't seem to find one. (I can find the r-base-core package for R 3.6.3, but not R 4.0.2, built for ARM.) If there

Bryan Smith: Thanks for the IPCop recommendation
A few weeks back I had tried to install CentOS on my old AMD 5x6x (equiv to P75 performance) with plans to use it as my firewall and router. Because there were some problems relating to RPM compile architecture (apparently), I posted and Bryan suggested IPCop, even at peril to his life on these lists ;-) according to him. ;-) ;-) Just wanted to tell him thanks, it's worked out well. Question about voip.ms service.
Hey; I figured I would ask here as I seem to get better results. I am using the voip.ms <http://voip.ms/> VoIP service. I have no problem configuring my Asterisk server 1.8x to dial out with my Softphone. HOWEVER, for some reason, I cannot get inbound. All that I hear is a busy signal. I know this is not much for you folks to go on, but what would be a good place to start
