[smbd4wins] wins hook - ttl so long ?
Hi folks, i've a question about the ttl, which my wins hook script gets from smbd4wins: I record many entries with extrem high ttls like refresh $SERVER 20 1181977528 $IPADDRS... the ttl of 1181977528 means ~13.000 days which is very long. if i look into the ldb itself, there's an expiry time of ~ 24days (16.06.2007). ---- dn: name=$SERVER,type=0x20 [...] expireTime:

Samba & Vista
I'm trying to use smbclient to look at a Vista box but I keep getting: # smbclient -L user-pc -U Kellie Password: <Kellie's password> session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE I know the user/password combination is good. I googled around and got the impression that Vista didn't play well with Samba because of some authentication protocol that Vista uses but I also got the

Upgrading 3.2.15 to 3.3.12 sernet package on opensuse 10.2
Dear all, I have samba 3.2.15 PDC running with an openldap backend and smbd4wins on the same host. There is also a BDC the same as my PDC. After I did an update to 3.3.12 on my BDC this worked on the fly without problems. Then I went on doing the same update on my PDC with the result of chaos. No user was able to logon anymore , when I did a smbclient -L mypdc -N it was extremely slow, and my

I'm running httpd-2.4.6-31.el7.centos.1.x86_64 under CentOS-7 (kernel 3.10.0-229.14.1.el7.x86_64). I cannot get the httpd userdir facility working; when I try to access localhost/Menloe I get the message "You don't have permission to access /Menloe on this server." I see in /var/log/httpd/error_log "Symbolic link not allowed or link target not accessible:

Installing DLL elsewhere than in \libs?
Hello, Its a couple of days I am fighting with this problem, and cannot find a solution. I need to compile a DLL that is not directly used by R, but must be installed elsewhere (it is indeed part of a Tcl/Tk package). So, I want to install it in /tklibs/tkpackage/alib.dll (under Windows) in my compiled package. I do manage to compile it in /src, but cannot copy it at the right place. I

FW: kerberos nfs4's principals and root access
It's ok So, if I create a httpuser and an httpgroup in my AD and use these at owner and group for my apache2 daemon, this one could access to userdirs (while permissions granting it) ? But I need to cron 'kinit' to keep valid ticket... ? My local root user always can't access to the share, but my other problem seems to be resolved. Thanks Le 02/08/2016 à 16:37, Rowland

AD-Shares not accessible with 3.0.31
Starting with version 3.0.31, it is not possible to access shares on a Windows Server 2000 SP4, even though it is possible to join the domain controlled by that Server. The same configuration worked "fine" (for one hour) with 3.0.30. What has changed? What do I need to configure or compile differently to get back to 3.0.2x behaviour? The commands #> wbinfo -u #> wbinfo -g #>
