Savin Copier Print Processor
I have FreeBSD 5.3 running on an Sun Ultra 10. I installed Samba 3.03, from patching SWAT now says version 3.07. I am having an issue printing from Windows through Samba to Savin copiers (model 9935DPE and 9945DPE) when downloading the Windows drivers directly from the [print$] share. When I print a test page, the orientation of the lettering is correct but the letters are gibberish. The

PostGIS 2.1 rasters available to Rails code: breadcrumbs
Just wanted to post this in case someone else was faced with the same problem. It''s database-specific code, worse, it''s specific to a particular * version* of a particular *extension* to a particular database, wires in SQL, and uses eval on a string of data from the database! So, you know, I''m getting coal in my stocking from DHH this year. I can deal. (After the

merge large number of raster objects
Hello, I have a large number of raster objects in memory, with names RH100, RH101, RH102, etc. (myobjects <- ls(pattern='^RH')). These rasters are sections of a continuous map, and I would like to combine them using the RasterObject merge tool in package 'raster.' Merge expects an input list of raster objects (outmap<-merge(x, y, ...), where x, y, and ... are raster

wmf on Unix?
libEMF (http://sourceforge.net/projects/libemf/) looks like it may be the solution to generating WMF/EMF files on Unix. It's a general-purpose (LGPL) library that implements the EMF API ... (I was originally going to write to the list to ask why small circles appear to be filled (in src/gnuwin32/graphapp/gdraw.c) by generating a series of rectangles rather than using some kind of

Raster table: how separate lines with the same value (count > 1)
Dear all, I intend to do some statistics with my raster table, like correlations or regression analysis. For that, I need that each pixel be in one line, that is, there is no count > 1. So, all columns should have the same number of lines, when I compare (combine) rasters. I'd like to know if there is a way to create lines and copy the values of the lines, when count is > 1. So, even

Purpose of DIB Engine?
Hello again. Today I got following question: What is the purpose of DIB Engine? Is it to speed up DirectDraw apps, or is it to add missing functionality for DirectDraw ?emulation?? I'm asking this because I recently tested few DDraw apps (Fallout2 and Happyland Adventures) with DIB enabled and... well for HA there was now significant speed difference, and Fallout2 slowed down even more :( .
