Hello list,
My samba server stopped allowing access to shares this morning. It gave
some funky errors. Has anyone seen these before? The OS is Fedora 9 and
the version is...
Version 3.2.0pre3-9.fc9
Am using ADS security for serving shares.
Server is EXAMPLEDC.EXAMPLE.CORP
Looks like it is saying no login servers in client log but, there are
two listed in smb.conf and they both replied to a ping

special language character in a pie chart
Dear List Members,
I am working on a below piece of code: Initially have created pie
charts with Enlish labels to present the data for Czech Republic, now
however I need to print the label with original Czech fonts.
When I copy paste from Word, certain fonts get 'simplified' distorting
original spelling. How can solve this problem? Is there a package I
can download which will support

Version 3.2.0pre3-9.fc9 smbclient problem
I recently installed Fedora 9 for use as a squid server. We use smb_auth
basic authorization and have run into a problem with it. I believe that I
have tracked the problem down to smbclient when the USER environmental
variable contains the userid and password. smb_auth.sh in squid uses the
USER environmental variable. Below are test results for Version

smbldap_open: cannot access LDAP when not root..
Greetings list,
I just upgraded my main file server, and copied over a dump of my LDAP
database, samba conf files, tdbs, etc.
Everything fired up OK and runs, except:
-Some users (perhaps 5 or 6 out of 125) can't log in, getting the "domain
unavailable" message
-I can't rejoin them to the domain - the process appears to succeed, but
doesn't

Did you try with fixed_generic.h or just with fixed_debug.h?
fixed_debug.h uses int and short directly, so I know

Speex on TI C6x, Problem with TI C5x Patch
Hi Jean-Marc, Hi Jim,
I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I
have boiled down the issues to the following:
1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't
had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the
attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline
functions.

Rsync 3.2.0pre3 released
I have made rsync 3.2.0pre3 available for testing. This is mainly some
improvements in configuration and portability fixes.
Let's see if this one will end up being the last "pre" version before
3.2.0. Please give it a try! Send feedback via email to the rsync mailing
list. Bugs can be created via bugzilla tickets, github issues, or discussed
on the mailing list.

[RFC][ARM] Add support for embedded position-independent code (ROPI/RWPI)
Hi,
We currently have a downstream patch (attached) which implements some new
addressing modes that enable position-independent code for small embedded
systems. Is this something that would be accepted upstream? I think the ARM
backend changes are fairly uncontroversial, but the clang changes introduce
a
lot of ROPI/RWPI specific changes in otherwise target-independent code. If

Awfully OT Question.
Please forgive me for this terribly off-topic question but could anyone on this
list point to me the proper direction on info to get the ALSA sound driver to
work under FreeBSD (if that is at all possible!!)? I figured there are many
kernel experts here who would an idea about this.
I looked in the FreeBSD and ALSA sites and there is no mention of each other on
neither.
Again, sorry and

[Mass Effect] I feel myself awfully tired
Hello everybody.
A have spent 20days+nights trying to get my Mass Effect work on wine some way... As you can easilly predict, with no success.
It was hard time with up to 6 combinations of display driver, 24 or more versions of wine and endless chain of winetricks and attempts to do without.

And if it is then still slow because some people have folders with
shitloads of emails, you may consider switching your mail storage over
to mdbox with enabled
