maxtor "powermax.exe" and wine?
Has anyone ever tried to run maxtor's "powermax.exe" program, that
attempts to determine if a drive is having problems prior to RMA, under
wine?
Thanks!

Ext3 filesystem aborting journal at random times (Maxtor 300GB disk)
Hi,
Sorry if this is an old and fixed issue but I can't really seem to find
a definitive explanation/fix to this in the mail lists. Ever since I
upgraded to FC2 my server randomly decides that it can no longer access
the disk and "aborts" the ext3 journal leaving it read-only as
expected. I've seen the same errors on other mail list, explained away
as disk or disk cable

NAT and sip issues
I have an asterisk server behind NAT - no audio on the test external calls I
have tried making so far.
Read http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+SIP+NAT+solutions - No solution
evident from there, sounds like I have case 9. I would have thought that all I
would have to do is port foward and have the external IP on the asterisk server,
which I have done
I have fowared 5060UDP, 8000UDP, and

Recycler problem
Hi folks,
I have Samba 3.0.10 with SuSE 9.1 running and a problem with the
recycler feature of Samba.
Following setup:
- User A deletes file F1 in directory D
- Samba produces file .recycler/D/F1
- D has permissions -rwx------, F1 has permissions -rwxrw-r-- (owner A)
- User B deletes file F2 in directory D
- F2 doesn't show up in .recycler/D
So all files User B deletes in directory D are

domain member server authentication problem
Hi
I'm having problems implementing a domain member server using winbind.
I've setup a test share on the server (BERTHOG) and test user (alex)
on the PDC (RODNEY).
Winbind seems to be running fine:
berthog:/srv$ wbinfo -n alex

But when I try to connect to the share:

I am new to R and the mailing list.
I have a data file (.xls) format with little bit large (16 column,35000 rows

Microsoft RTAudio
Hi people
Just wondered what your thoughts are on Microsoft's RTAudio codec that they use in their Unified Communications stuff:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5D79B584-79C9-42A8-90C4-4AB3F03D19C4&displaylang=en
They let people license it to use in their own products. I couldn't find any sample clips of RTAudio encoded speech. Apart from being $35000 less

2. How do I construct 95% confidence interval?

rpois formula
Hi all,
It's been a while since i've used R and I can't remember how to do the
following:
i have
a = rpois (100000, x)
b = rpois (100000, y)
what is the code to show that a>b, b>a and a=b to show just the number of
occurances?
at the moment when I type a>b I get a nice long list of true or false.
so i'm hoping to have the following
a>b

b>a
