CentOS 6.2 install problem squid winbind
In the install process, I checked squid and winbind. Squid access to
winbind fails because squid was not added to the wbpriv group. I suspect
that winbind is being installed after squid. I manually added squid to
wbpriv in group and gshadow to allow access.
I reported something very similar a couple of years ago on Fedora 14

What is wrong here?
Hello Everyone,
I have this weird problem. I have 2.6.10-rc2-mm3 kernel with u32
compiled as module. I have the cls_u32 module loaded. I have
different binaryes of tc, the one from iproute packaged from debian
sarge, the Kaber''s one from trash.net, and also from another computer
where u32 worked. When I run this:

I'm pretty sure you need to clear your winbind cache after modifying
the range. I can't find any official documentation on it anywhere, but
I think the process goes like:
systemctl stop winbind
systemctl stop smbd
net cache flush
systemctl start winbind
systemctl start smbd
If that doesn't work you could try clearing the tdb files and the group
mapping ldb file in /var/lib/samba (

CRAN Check warnings with GCC 8.1
Some time ago I (and some other CRAN package maintainers) got an email
from Brian Ripley (copied below) regarding compiler warnings under gcc
8.1. In my case this concerns package PropClust
(https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=PropClust). The check with gcc 8.1
(https://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/bdr/gcc8/PropClust.out) produced a
warning about an uninitialized variable.
I cannot reproduce the warning

I am experiencing a problem with dovecot as an LDA. It will not deliver
mail unless the mail directory is chmod'd to 1777. Below is an example
of the log file output.
The dovecot.log file had over a hundred entries similar to this:

G'day Samba Users!
I'm trying to use Samba on a Linux server which has a lot of Unix
users: I have Slackware 12.1 and Samba 3.0.28a. My users are defined
in /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow which is typical for Slackware.
I have one directory shared between everybody called Xchange:
[Xchange]
comment = Xchange
path = /raid/Xchange
read only = no
public = yes
