Problems with Samba
Hi,
I administrate a server (debian etch) on which runs samba, version 3.0.24-6et. Everything worked fine until today. I tried to logon on the server via a clientmachine (win2k, winxp), but i got an error, "System cannot logon because domain not reachable". (it is possible to ping the server and to establish a shortcut (to logon) to the server - that works). I have no idea what

quota-warning.sh not working (lda problem?)
Hi,
I setup a new mailserver with dovecot 2.0.12. Everything is working
fine (including quota) - except of sending quota warning mails.
When running
/usr/local/bin/quota-warning.sh 95 user at domain.de
manually as root or user vmail, the mail is delivered.

Hi !
I have set up Samba as a PDC / Logon-Server for W2K Clients!
Everything went fine and I configured it as the Documentation said.
But suddenly, when I log off from W2K i get the following message:
Die Aktualisierung des Servergespeicherten Profils ist fehlgeschlagen!
Detail: Es steht nicht gen?gend Speicherplatz auf dem Server zur Verf?gung.

Problem with quota warning
Hi again,
my test environment is working now and finally I tried to implement my
quota warning but it is not working. LDA says the mailbox is full even
it is not (only 81% and that is why the quota warning is executed).
Further I used :noenforcing in my script.

Time is off by an hour in my XEN vm
Hello,
I''m hiring a XEN virtual machine running Ubuntu at a hosting company.
My XEN virtual machine is hosted on a server which has some other VM''s
running on it. They all use ubuntu or debian. After a crash sometime
last week, the systemclock of my VM is off by an hour (it says 19:49,
although it''s 18:49 here now). The other VM''s don''t have

Domain not reachable.
I am setting up a domain with MDS and all works well in some offices,
but in others I get domain not reachable errors when trying to logon.
Could this be a bad switch?

[LLVMdev] how to detect if block N is reachable from block M ?
Hi,
Is there any method to check if there is a path in the CFG from block M to block
N, but M does not necessarily dominate block N?
In other words, if N is reachable from M.
Thanks,
Alexandra

I don't think there's any method built in to LLVM. It's pretty easy
to write, though.

[LLVMdev] Avoid Valgrind's still-reachable leak warnings
Hi, I'm Ryo Onodera.
This is my first post to this mailing list. Fist, thanks for creating
a great library!
We're using LLVM to support JIT in Rubinius (an alternative
implementation of Ruby, a dynamic programming language).
I'm submitting a small patch for a minor issue.
It solves still-reachable leak warnings from Valgrind. Example
warnings are shown at the end of this mail.

host behind tunnel only reachable on activity from the other side
Hi,
I have a tinc tunnel up and running. I connected 2 hosts with a net behind.
Host A with static ip 1.2.3.4 with 192.168.1.0/24
Host B with dhcp connection with 192.168.2.0/24
the whole net is 192.168.0.0/16
I can reach at any time any host behind A from a host behind B.
But I can reach a host behind B only, if traffic (keep alive like ping) from
B goes continousliy
from B to A.

Host not reachable over UDP
That's strange. Can you post a detailed log from the affected node (run
tincd -d5 -D), especially the initialization phase?

Host not reachable over UDP
Good morning,
Here is the log, I don't see anything unusual. I took the same tinc binary
and tried on two other machines and it works fine - binds to 655/UDP
without issues:
udp UNCONN 0 0 *:655 *:*

Windows cache session used while PDC reachable
Hello,
i'm using samba3.0.7 (RedHat AS3U4) and get the following behavior:
i have a workstation on my samba server with an account user1 created. I
can log on the workstation. Windows cache session is not disabled.
If i change the account password of user1 on the server (with
smbldap-passwd for example) and whant to log on with the old password, it
succeeded because of the cache session on

locfit smoothing question (package maintainer not reachable)
Dear list members,
I am trying to understand this output from the smoothing package locfit
(1.5-4, running on R 2.8.1 on Windows Vista 64 bit).
# sample code
x<-1:100
y<-rnorm(100)
fit<-locfit(y~x,family="gaussian") #default parameters are fine
plot(fit, band="global") #plot seems "reasonable", confidence bands use a
global estimate of variance

Queues with logged in agents that are not reachable
Hello, I am using 1.4.8 and have a question about Queues.
I noticed that if I have an agent logged in using AgentCallBackLogin
and that agent is unreachable for some reason (SIP phone unplugged)
calls to him/her will completely yack.
For example:
1-Agent 500 is the only one logged into queue number 1.
2-A call comes into queue number 1
3-The call is pushed to agent 500 at extension 21 which is

LAN hosts not reachable
This may help... I see you're using a mix of the old and new tools.
You could try use 'route' with ipconfig rather than 'ip route'. Or you could use 'ip link' instead of ipconfig.
