Please help with Samba on Solaris10
Hi I'm having lots of problems getting Samba to work on Solaris. First I tried the version which comes with Solaris10: 3.0.30. It almost did work, but a user could not _rename_ files. Next try was with 3.4.0. Unfortunately winbindd tried to _modify_ idmap entries in my LDAP server to make them be from the UID range defined in smb.conf. WHY? What's the idea behind it? Winbindd also

I not only need to copy the binary smbtorture, I also need to copy the shared libraries. This is HUGE inconvenient for us. Could somebody tell me how to build the binary using static linked libraries? Thanks very much Peixing libpthread.so.0 =>

[PATCH] tools: don't expand prefix and exec_prefix too early
A comment in tools/configure says that it is intended for these to be command line overridable, so they shouldn''t get expanded at configure time. The patch is fixing tools/m4/default_lib.m4 as far as I can see myself doing this, but imo it is flawed altogether and should rather be removed: - setting prefix and exec_prefix to default values is being done later in tools/configure anyway

Build Environment
To Whom this concerns, In the process of building the latest stable version of Samba, Samba 3.5.8, while compiling from Source3 an error was thrown when the compiler tried to create the libnetapi.so.0 file. This build was attempted on a NetBSD computer. Another attempt at configuring the file it was observed that when checking for the libnetapi.h it is not found during the ./configure

Sanity Check
Maaaaaaaaaaaaajor sanity check needed. I wrote a simple little plugin, and it wouldn''t load. I put some comments in it''s init.rb, and it didn''t even spit those out. So, I dug into the initializer.rb (/vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb) to see wtf is going on, and found the problem... but... can''t explain it. Here is the code in question:
