Connect to remote GW
If SIP channel driver needs to connect to a remote GW over a dedicated SIP trunk BUT the remote GW has a 'standby' in case of failure, how can the sip configuration file be configured for the remote GW when there are actually two IP addresses. If the main remote GW fails control automatically switches to the standby GW, so how could the SIP configuration file hande this switch and support

Hi, I have the same problem with the queue configuration When I receive 2 calls only 1 phone ring even if more agent's phone are free. The second call will go to an other agent only if the first call is pickup. Somebody have a solution ? Asterisk 1.8 Service: -r does not give CLI
We have Asterisk1.8.11 and can not move to a newer version right now. But when we run Asterisk as a service, the -r option does not result in giving the CLI prompt? Dialplan to reach external SIP phone
If I have Asterisk setup with local SIP phones configured but need to call a SIP phone which is not local but actually on another VLAN, what would the dialplan need to look like? ? Could the Asterisk dialplan directly call a SIP phone which is not a local phone within its sip.conf and dialplan, if the Directory Number and IP is known (or host name)? ? Didn't plan on needing a SIP trunk so

Winbind core dump issue
Greetings We've moved from using NIS/SFU to using Samba/Winbind connecting to our Windows 2003 AD domain with an Openldap idmap backend on our Redhat 4/5 servers. We managed to get this mostly working in that users can authenticate using their domain accounts (thank you Samba team!!!). Winbind crash on startup with Win 2K3 sp1 domain controller.
Having migrated from NT 4 I am trying to re-install a number of machines to our New Win 2K3 SP1 Domain. Most machines are Suse 9.1, running heimdal 0.6.1rc3, samba 3.0.14a (rpm from samba site). OpenLDAP integration
I've followed the OpenLDAP + SAMBA Domain Controller tutorial step-by-step: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=640760 And after long hours, and enless googling, I've yet to find a solution. Samba Upgrade to 3.0.25b leads to core dumps with winbind and ldap idmap
I have recently upgraded a Samba server running on a Red Hat Enterprise 4 (32 bit) server. The version of samba upgraded to is 3.0.25b. I noticed that a new index had to be added to my ldap (openldap) server for the sambaSID attribute. So I added the index line to slapd.conf as follows: Index sambaSID eq,sub Afterwards I ran slapindex to recreate the indices in the openldap database.

php script to migrate other attributes after running classicupgrade
Hi, I have written a php script to upgrade a fresh s4 AD with more details from a (s3) ldap server. I am no programmer AT ALL, so I guess this is very dirty and un-elegant, but it does the trick. We had multiple "mail" attributes in openldap, and since AD only allows 1 mail attribute, additional mail addresses are migrated to "otherMailbox" AD attributes. Perhaps someone
