Group member can not delete files - only dir (775) owner can
Hi there, I have a problem I can not solve myself. I have samba 3.0.28 installed on a Ubuntu 8.0.4 server. Samba is a member of AD. Authentication is kerberos, user- / group ids are handled by nis (Windows 2008 SFU / NIS Server). My Samba config: [global] write list = admin,rado,@Administratoren deny hosts = 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 client schannel = No allow hosts = localhost,

Error when executing "rake db:migrate" with frozen Rails 2.1.0 on Media Temple
I''m hoping someone might have some insight into this, because I don''t quite know how to figure this one out. I''m running the command with Capistrano''s deploy:migrate to my (mt) Media Temple (gs) Grid Server, but I get the same error (from "rake aborted!" and on below) when I run "rake db:migrate" directly on the server in the

Best Wine Front-End
Hello I was wondering what are the best Wine Front-Ends. PlayonLinux is excellent with games that is for sure... But when I try to install the copy I bought of Babylon Pro 9 a few years ago, when I try to push the dictionaries I simply can't... So I would like to know what is the most friendly front-end in order to install applications that need patches and updates (in this case my babylon

SVS tree lists
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone out there have code for converting a R-dataframe into a Stand Visualization System (SVS) tree list? It would save me a bit of time. I would be interested if anyone has FVS code as well. I will be working (reworking) NE-TWIGS equations to a regionwide dataset. Thanks in advance, Mike Mike R. svm regression in R
Hallo, I have a question concerning SVM regression in R. I intend to use SVMs for feature selection (and knowledge discovery). For this purpose I will need to extract the weights that are associated with my features. I understand from a previous thread on SVM classification, that predictive models can be derived from SVs, coefficiants and rhos, but it is unclear for me how to transfer this

ATTN Jamie Thompson: Authentication Issues
I was having the exact same problem, where the NT4 box complains, "The client is not authorized to login from this station." or something to that effect. The problem is that the Samba machine is not set up to use encrypted passwords, and NT requires them by default. You can either change a setting in the NT registry, making it allow clear-text logins, or you can set up your Samba box to

Problem with Samba: "The account is not authorized to login from this station"
I am having a problem configuring Samba to work with my NT mahcines. I can see the linux server from my NT machines. Under security=user, when I attempt to browse the linux machine's shares, it asks for a username and password, and then fails, telling me "The account is not authorized to login from this station." If I set security = share, I can browse the shares, but when I try and

After that SWAT dos not work correctly, SWAT

Transition from one server to another.
A frind of mine and I are running a dedicated server, that among other things host mail for ourselves and friends and families. All in all about 15 different domains with 35-40 users. The machine in question is old, so we are doing a slow transition from the old server to the new one. So far, we've managed to move web hosts seamlessly. Due to the technical capabilities at some of the user

Support vector in lcrabs example
Can anyone explain the root of my problem? When I type the following code into R, I receive 42 support vectors insted of the 21 stated in the book 'Modern Applied Statistics with S': library(MASS); library(e1071); library(class); lcrabs <- log(crabs[,4:8]); (svm(crabs$sp ~ ., data = lcrabs, cost = 100, gamma = 1)); By changing the value of gamma I can obtain only 21 support vectors,

Only one class shown in SVM plot?
Hello users! I'm calculating a simple model using svm(...) from the e1071 package. So far so good, with a linear kernel I'm getting 5 SVs. When plotting the result I see very well separated data clouds, but the underlying color is constantly pink, so as far as I understand no class separation is shown... I would be happy if anyone could explain me this behaviour because I think I have a
