Hello, I've recently been having a bit of a problem with changing my smb password. Any help would be appreciated. Configuration is : Server OS: SCO Unixware v7.1.1 Samba 2.2.7a Using smbusers and smbpasswd files. The smbusers file only has those users whose NT ID is different from thier Unix ID. I have tried googling for the error and have read the pertinent parts of the SAMBA HowTo

This samba is scheduled for upgrade. We've been testing samba 4.3.8 packages (from BULLFreeware) on other AIX. It was not easy the install, even with RPM packages. I hope to do the upgrade soon, but I need to have this particular user working now. The %o passwd chat parameter (current password) doesn't seem to be working in this release. I'm running a Redhat 9 system that seems to require it.
