winbind does not list users from trusted domain
Hello all.
I've set up a testing environment with two Windows DCs. The first,
called DCA, is serving the domain DOMA and is running Windows 2003. The
second is called DCB and serves DOMB on Windows 2008.
The Samba machine I'm setting up (named ULYSSES) should be able to
authenticate users from both domains for shell login. I've installed
Samba 3.2.3 as a Debian package and closely

I 'm trying to figure out why my samba box can 't get any information about

Problem authenticating another domain
I am trying to authenticate a user in a domain (EU) other than my
default domain (NA). I am at a loss as to what may be wrong at this
point. When I run a wbinfo -sequence, I see the following:

AP : DISCONNECTED

ADS authentication in disjointed, multiple forest
All,
I have recently come across a problem I have been unable to resolve. I
have been running Samba with Winbind ADS authentication for the last
couple of years with good success until recently. About 2 weeks ago, I
restarted the Samba and Winbind services on a Fedora Core 3 machine
runing Samba 3.0.10-1 (installed from FC3 RPMs) and the active directory
authentication has started failing.

winbind is loosing domain prefix
Hi,
we're using the SerNet-release of samba 3.0.7 running on SLES8. Our
samba server is running as domain member server (security=ADS) in our
w2k domain. On monday we migrated from 3.0.4 to 3.0.7. Since then
winbind is trying to relsolve usernames without the domain-prefex and
fails. See below:

the two machines are identical; the smb.conf files are *nearly*
identical in their common section; the filewall rules

winbind/wbinfo not pulling info from W2K AD PDC
Hi list,
I have samba-3.0.2-2 rpm installed on Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 AS kernel version.
I've been using the Samba 3 How-To and messages on various mailing lists to join Samba to an AD domain and authenticate using winbind/pam.
So far Samba has successfully become a member of the AD domain and can browse file servers using smbclient but I haven't been able to get winbind working -

Getting users and groups through winbind on FreeBSD
Hi
We have a few Linux samba servers that authenticate against our
Active Directory domain (Small Business Server 2000). I've added a
couple of disks to a FreeBSD 6.1 server in our office and I'm trying
to achieve the same but not having much luck. I'm new to all
this... I'm not our network admin, but he is BSD-phobic so I thought
it was safer to do it myself.

ADS Join on Windows 2008 domain not working in 3.0.25b?
Hi,
Using samba 3.0.25b, testing to join to a Windows 2008 domain using ADS
security with kerberos and it doesn't seem to work. Anybody else tried this
combination?
Same configuration worked joining to a Windows 2003 R2 domain.
I'm not a samba expert but looking at the log it looks like the

Hi,
I recently upgraded my servers from 3.0.28 to 3.0.31 trying to solve the
winbind issue previously reported (Bug# 5551) but the issue is still
happening in my servers.
I have an ftp server (vsftpd), configured to use pam_winbind with krb5_auth
and I see some random disconnects and my users cant login. My samba servers
are member of a Windows 2003 domain.

wbinfo -K not working
Dear List!
I have the problem described at
http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2008-February/138451.html
It is materialized after an upgrade of samba/winbind. Everything was working
before.
I could not find the solution neither on the net, nor from people originally
having the problem, so here I am.
This problem is a showstopper for me. (I can login by changing pam_winbind
to pam_krb5, but this
